Considering the fuel quires and damadol-response for Automatic variants, 1.3 still stands at a better end, but keep in mind sluggish pick till 15k kms will be there.

rest its a any-day cash for both good/bad citizens

That is too much. Should not be above 2.7%. I got mine insured for 1.98 or 2.00 percent. AGI with tracker, but I refused to put tracker.

If coming down form Reborn-- a big no. You will be disappointed like Fouad bhai. Go for at least 1.8 Cvti curisetronic non-Grande.

It has been re-badged as Altis Yes, but after sometime you would feel kay a couple of lakhs more kharch ker laita to enjoy totally new more powerful 1.8 engine and CVTi, cruise control, dual air bags, wow meter, rear reclining seats, etc. Other than that 1.6 is a nice balanced pacakge.

Please suggest me if 1.8 Cvti Altis (non Grande) is worth the money ? specially if i compare it with 1.6 altis, I have been very confused, and must take the decision in this month. I like the new tech n economy offered by Cvti, but not sure if it is robust enough and will not just break after sometime.

Also considering the fact that in future Civic will also be available in CVT, in Japan almost all the cars less than 2000 cc are now coming with CVT so I don't foresee bright future of 4 speed ECT. Please advice, thanks

Yes totally worth it (though all Pakistani-assembled cars are over priced)
It is robust enough. CVTis are now fairly robust and reliable, so do not worry about that
Yes new Civic is also coming in CVTi

To all those preferring a 1.8 over the 1.6, it's always a better option, until the time that you wish to sell. At that time, the 1.6 will lead by miles. Just my two cents as people are usually worried about resale

Totally agreed and coupled with the relatively newer technology of CVT, the ultimate destiny of which is yet to be determined in Pakistan, many people are avoiding to go for it. The 4-speed Super ECT, being older but proven technology in Pakistan is a safer bet, for the time being.

The ones not going for it lack budget obviously. Warna who would go for 1.6 when a person can easily afford 1.8 variants.
1.8 corolla is indeed the real deal... the cvt alone makes hell of a difference and the extra goodies are worth the price.

Bhai, there are various factors involved in it. Lack of budget may be one, but not the ultimate reason, for not opting for 1.8. Resale is another vital factor, where we all know 1.6 wins over 1.8. I was earnestly thinking of going for 1.8 non grande variant, but switched to 1.6, not because of budget but because of resale factor. 1.8, no doubt, is the best of all variants though in terms of value for money.

PS: I do know in auto tranny cars introduced by IMC, GLI 1.3 auto does enjoy best resale, but seriously speaking, driving such a huge body with a 1299cc engine coupled with auto tranny is an injustice to the car itself

2 of my friends have 1.3 GLI AT and they are more than happy with it, Yes with a added budget, One should definetly go with the Altis 1600cc, If not the 1.3 GLI AT is a totally okay car to drive in city.
Get over the fact that Xli lacks power windows, Its an Xli because it lacks thoose features or else it would be a Gli or an Altis if had all the goodies.

Bhai if resale is the only concern then one will go for 1.3 gli....even 1.6 doesn't have that strong resale as you mentioned. But when it's 1.8 or 1.6 then it's 1.8 definitely because this category is for pure pleasure only not for resale minded people.

Still, a 1.6 would fetch me better resale than a 1.8.
