    Default corolla se saloon

    Solution
    i am thinking to buy my first car.initally i liked the passo but paying more then 1 million for a hatchback in not a good thing to me so i dropped
    now my question is is buying corolla se saloon 2005 automatic a good idea in the price range of 8 to 8.5 lac.can i find a car in good condition in this range
    and whats the last year of production of se saloon as i mostly found 2005 to be last year

    other options are 2005 civic and city but i like se saloon the most dont like the interior of 2005 civic

    Se saloon is dozen times better than xli gli but 3zzfe is very expensive to repair plus 3zzfe have common problem of leaky valve due mechanic grinding valve in the name of tappet adjustment

    That problem is with almost every toyota z engine block believe it or not 20w-50 with no t.valve cause that problem

    yes se saloon is way better.but my friends saying better buy city 07 or civic 05,but i am on se saloon side bcz i like its interior

    SE saloon is a good choice if you can compromise on fuel economy and expensive maintenance.

    I personally like SE saloon but there are some cons about it. You can search and find good city 2005/6 in this price range or an excellent condition coure too.

    @OP

    You need to clear what exactly you're looking for from your car. If its only the interior, then even the liana or lancer could be contenders.

    In order to get better options for alternative vehicles, you need to elaborate your requirements:

    What is your usage going to be like? Are you looking to run the car on petrol (or CNG)? What budget do you have? PKDM or JDM?

    I have a SE Saloon Auto, and I like it too much. 1 problem which people usually bothers about is that it does not have ABS brakes! but I think if you have properly serviced brakes, it won't be an issue.

    Only reason one wants to way a corolla is resale while se saloon lacks that and it also have all disadvantages of corolla bad break,junla suspension,pathetic road grip etc I will buy a Toyota corona over a se saloon anyday
