AOA Fellows,Sharing the small story of new Corolla. The car was delivered on 22nd April, 2016 and was actually one of the last few without the immobilizer and upgrades.

This prompted an underlying drive to make it a looker and a ensure subtle presence on road with not so over the top mods.

Fellows got first oil change done yesterday after 3500 KMs since it has been 6 months since the car has been procured.

Got original Filament oil filter (680 Rs), Toyota Taglon 5w-50 fully synthetic API SN oil for 5 litres (2650 + 670) and labour 262 Rs for oil and filter change from Toyota Capital I9 motors. They also cleaned the air and ac filter and filled battery water and inspected the car from underneath for any loose nuts, clips or bolts.

    Got warranty card signed too.

They also didn't discard my old oil and took it in a box to be poured in some old pugeot being worked upon in the workshop.

car is lighter and more responsive after the new oil. will share milage details after observation.

Pics will do rest of the talking

Wonderful info. I asked this question on your other post; the same question that how much oil was poured? The manual says 4.2 lit!

does this mean that i got yzza6 the correct orignal filter in its orignal pack at half the price ??? Feeling lucky.

i think dealership is stealing by just getting their boxes printed of yzza7 and charging double the amount, because when i argued about the price they kind of shoot my point of view by saying that they have yzza7 and its price (1300) is correct.

I think it is not Indus, but dealerships buy from local importers. I may be wrong. Can anybody confirm that all spares are supplied by IMC to dealers?

I can confirm that they are not sir.
They also keep huge amount of spares from local market. But also from IMC.
Now you need to have a friend there to get you the spare part of IMC

I got the same filter yzza7 @ 1000 ruppes each after getting discount.

    Well what can we say.

Indus just changes the part number but supplies the old product inside it. Well recommended one is yzza6 and its of light yellow color. Yzza6 is written on the filter itself you can check anytime.

Yes. In one particular case 3S in I9. I had to do 20,000 km for my GLI 1.3 A/T and planned to change the air filter. The air filter given to me was without IMC hologram and price was around Rs.2400 (based on my memory) which is the same price of IMC supplied air filter. When I insisted then I was given the hologram packaged filter.

The conclusion is that YES! The 3S dealerships would carry with them aftermarket parts and would try to fool the customers. May be NOT ALL 3S but many do OR put it in soft way that on insistence of customer they would provide the low prices aftermarket parts - for Customer's Satisfaction!
