Thanks. I altogether missed out that possibility. Also bigger bore allows for larger valves which in turns gives better performance at high rpms. Also it gives flatter and broader torque/power curve throughout rpm range of the engine. Thats y F1 engines have very high bore/stroke ratio (in the range of 1.6) and hence idle at 5000 rpm and goes to 19000 rpm. amazing isnt it?

Static friction is due mechanical factors like bearings, differiancial, gearbox and tires ect. Drag is due to aerodynamic friction of air.
