salam guys.This is haroon from lahore and i own a cultus 2006 bought that brand new,currently showing 55000km on clock.The problem is that its engine doesnt switch off on pterol.Its keep on running.Some people name this problem as "back up" or "running on".it all started when once i got my carbeurator opened and serviced coz the it was making the petrol over and the petrol was coming out f the carbeurator.i got my carbeurator opened only once and dat too on 50000km.now after this problem rose i did sum hit and trial method to solve it
1.my mechanic said that u need to drop the rpm on petrol which in turns drop the rpm on cng.eg i have to maintain the idle rpm of 1500 on petrol to maintan 1250 on cng and with head lights on its come to 1100.so the problem didnt solved.i even drop the rpm on petrol to 1100 and the problem was still there.
2.i thought that might be the petrol in my car fuel tank is of bad quality.so i started using the bad petrol.once i parked my car on petrol at night and on the very next day i started the car and it didnt started.the sound was coming like it got its timming belt broken.called my local mechanic nd he said that its tampet has gone hard.u need to get them loosen from the machinist.well i personally dont think that this could be the fault coz car runs fine on petrol and cng
3.next day i removed all the petrol from the tank and pour new petrol.parked my car at night and then started it on the next morning.its responded very well and got started on half self but the main problem(running on)was there.note this problem only occurs when the engine is hot.when the engine is cool its shuts off absolutely fine.
4.got my car checked from suzuki mini motors and motor house and they didnt said that its of tampets.they said the tampets are good.got the checked from other mechanics as well and 5 out of 1 told me that u need to get its tampet adjusted by opening up the tampet cover,pulling the cam out,removing timming belt........which i dont really want too coz my car has hardly driven 55000km.im too much cary abt my car.never ever make it overloaded.
5.also got the distributor retire but didnt got success plus i got a drop in cng pick.
now guys i need ur opinion specially the experts out there.i need to solve this problem and i know this problem is not of tampets coz if the tampets has gone harden then the work would miss on cng and its running good.waiting for ur comments asap
