Default Muffler in Cultus and Alto

I guess muffler is used to reduce the engine noise so my questions are:

    1. Can we use a muffler in Cultus or Alto?
    2. If yes then what is the cost?
    3. From where can I get it fitted in Karachi?

Well, i only know that yes it's used to reduce engine noise.. but if you are inside the car it would'nt afftect reduce the volume of noise for you. but from outside yes it will make a difference.

I want to reduce its noise when I am inside the car. Actually I have seen that Corolla, Civic and other good cars have very low engine noise when you are inside. I don't know if it is due to Muffler or not.

Muffler certainly plays a role in lowring noise, but many other factors contribute too, such as padding between engine and the passenger compartment. The balancing of engine i.e. thus reducing vibrations. The adjustment of belts such as fan belt, timing belt and ac belt so that they dont slip niether are too tighly set so that firction causes extra noise and also extra wear and tear.
