helo PWs , today early morning i just finished with my 07 cultus AC ,,,,,,,,,,few experences want to share ,,,,,,,,,,,,although i completlly service the system and there was no fault in comp ,,,,,,,,,,,all hoses are completelly flushed 2 times and same as the condencer and evaporator,,,,,,,,,,it was fitted with multiflow evaporator and condencer and its not easy to fully drain the liquid from them and takes really lot of effort to flush them,,,,,,,,,,,,,expansion valve also flushed after removing ,,,,,,,,dryer replaces with extreme care,,,,,,,,,,,,,so the end result,,,,,,,,,,,,,its not as good as that on my 06 cultus in which i installed pajero mino comp,,,,,,,,,,,,,thermostat trips the comp at 9.4 DC ,,,,,,,,,,,,cooling is all ok ,,,,,,,,engine load is also reduced but not able to take it to zero as in the 06 cultus,,,,,,,,,,,i think its normal as the system is fitted by original sanden comp and its a piston comp which puts load on small engines,,,,,,,,,,,,,at the end i am not fully satisfied because of this engine load issue,,,,,,,,,,,,,,i cant replace the comp now as it need atleast 3 days for all the alteration and i am short of time now ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
this time i charge the system with some accuracy,,,,,,,,,,means i measure up the weight of gas can and charge acording to weight ,,,,,,,,,,,,,i notice that at exzact 450gm it gaves accurate low and high side pressure,,,,,,,,,,,,,as you know i add some refregrant in the system few days before and at that time i spotted a fault in system and end up in fully dismentalling the entire unit ,,,,,,,,,,,,,so at that time i have 940gm refregrant,,,,,,,,,the weight of empty can was 100gm,,,,,,,,,,luckily shop keeper has one empty can and he measure its weight on digital scale for me ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,so means i have around 840gm regregrant in can,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,i lost some refregrant in first failure attempt,,,,,,,,,,,,,,after that i again go to that same shop keeper to buy dryer,,,,,,,,,,,i take my gas can along with me which was at that time fitted with can tap valve,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,at that time the total weight of can was around 660 gm ,,,,,,,,,,,,,i already know the emply can weight which was 100gm ,,,,,,,,,,shop keeper help me by giving a new can tap valve and measure its weight ,,,,,,,,it was 80gm,,,,,,,,,,,,means the total refregrant left in can was 480gm,,,,,,,,,,,,,and i need some where near 450gm,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,right now i finished with that AC and i can guess that there is atleat 20 to 30 gm gas left in it ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,as you know that its not posible for the comp to fully suck all the refregrant from the can/cylinder and there is always some amount left in it,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,so means i fill the system with almost 450gm plus minus 10 gm,,,,,,,,,,,,,,one more thing i came to know that the shop keeper can fill the gas can again ,,,,,,,,,,,,i havet remove the tap valve from it and its posible to fill that can again,,,,,,,,,,,,
next time if i happen to overhaul the ac system then i will buy personal digital scale for that,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,and also some high power professional ac service compressor,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
any how my brother is happy in using 06 cultus now and enjoying its boosted engine pick and chilling ac ,,,,,,,,,table turns and now this 07 cultus is grounded ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
at the end i suggest you guys that if your comp is faulty or you want some good performance interms of cooling and engine load then this tiny pajero mini comp is the best choice,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
