Default Fuel consumption of Cultus Euro2

Dear friends. I am having suzuki alto 2011 F.F CNG. Due to non availability of CNG, using my car on petrol, good mileage on CNG but getting very bad mileage on petrol. & many of people are saying there is no future of CNG in Pak. So, i am deciding to replace my car with new Suzuki cultus Euro2 (0 meter). So, i wants to ask that should I go for Cultus Euro2 or not?? I have listened from many that fuel consumption of Cultus Euro2 is around 17km/liter. I wants to ask from the owners, who are using Euro2 Cultus that hows the fuel consumption of this car??. Also need help from the experts that what should i do, should replace my car or not?? Your replies shall be appreciated. Thanks.......

I got cultus 2014 only 1800km driven. Calculated fuel average based on the refill to next refill (full tank) and distance traveled between two successive refills.

    Results are

    17 to 19 Km/L on motorway and GT road @ speed of 80 to 95 Km/hr ( with 40 % AC )
    12.5 to 14 Km/L in city traffic (with 70 % AC)

That's my personal experience. i can't force anyone to believe but its true.

You are one lucky guy , I have not been able to achieve this kind of average even from my Mehran Euro IIs..... I own 2 of them 10k and 13k driven to date both 2013 model.

We have a few Cultus Euro II in our office, the average being reported by the users varies between 12-13 kmpl w/o AC and arnd 10 kmpl with AC........... City driving

With no offense to Cultus Euro II owners.............. I will say 'No', as last year I was facing the same problem, getting rid of cng vehicles.............. after detailed research my options were:

    1- Suzuki Mehran
    2- Honda City

City was out of my range, thus opted for Mehruu, hopefully will upgrade to city by end of this year

If you can afford buy City, otherwise if you consider Mehran in category of cars you can go for it too.

You can buy city idsi 2003-4 model after selling you alto and putting in a little amount of money. Even if you buy city Exis 2001-2 model, it's petrol consumption is still better.

Why don't people understand that car mileage depends on many factors, I drive City 2012 (manual) in karachi, when i am alone in car i have achieved 18-20km/l within city, yes within city but minimum braking and empty roads like on sunday mornings, rpm 2000-2500, making car neutral from bridge. On normal everyday driving I usually get 13-14 kmpl within city on normal driving style, rush hour and with more people sitting in car, so mileage is not a single value it depends on many factors. (Mileage is being quoted what is shown on digital meter + Ac on)

Dear its an Alto not Audi, I am currently using Mehran after using cars like City Idsi Vario ('05), Baleno JXR ('03), Esteem 1.6 ('98), Civic exi ('96) etc etc and my suggestion is only my opinion.

For a work horse the two important factors in my opinion are the running costs and the maintenance costs.........thats why not suggested old vehicles.

With AC ON now, only 11.5 km average with only 1 passenger on board as most of the time i drive alone

It depends on your driving and concentration on rpm, engine sound, race pedal and when to apply brake. Same honda city A/T gives me good average but give very bad average to my brother because he gives too much race initialy than apply brakes this mean wastage of fuel.

I will be sharing my two recent experiences (both within the last one month) with my cultus 2011 for all those who still say cultus dont give good averages on petrol. Yes, everyone has his own opinion depending upon experience they had. First of all about my car. Its 95k driven, tyre size 175/70/R13 (Dunlop LM703), engine oil (Shell- blue one)/oil filter/air filter changed after every 3k.

    1. From Pindi - Peshawar
    Distance travelled 167.1 km
    RPM 2200-2500
    Speed 90-100 km
once I entered peshawar it was 7.62 Liters which was consumed during the entire journey making an average of 21.92 kmpl.

    2. From Pindi - Peshawar
    Distance travelled 165.6 km
    RPM 2000-2200
    Speed 80-90 km
On entering Peshawar I refuelled the tank and it took 7.73 Liters giving an average of 21.45 kmpl.

Now, what I do during my driving is to put lightest amount of pressure on the race padel required for maintaining the desired speed, shifting gears at 2000 rpm and accelerating slow. I don’t know why I got a better average between 90-100 rather than 80-90.

For all those who don’t believe these averages; they can have a ride with me as I go to isl every week so I don’t have any problem with that.

I have recently purchased Cultus Euro II and driven it 1800 Kms, but fuel economy is 10 Km per Litre (inside city with full AC). Other users of Cultus Euro II are saying that the fuel economy will become better after 5000 Kms drive. So let's see!!!!
