    Post RPM meter unstable

Salam. I have a new 2013 Cultus, drove only 2200 KM. Now the RPM Tachometer has become unstable both in gear and idle. It fluctuates on higher side dancing between 1000 - 8000 rev. Can you please suggest a solution? (Car is under warrenty and I am thinking to take it to the dealer)

Angry almost same problem with my speedometer

Sorry I'm not the expert, but I've subscribed to the thread instead of making a new one.

My car is Daihatsu Charade, its needle "DANCES" when I drive it under 30kmph, but becomes fairly stable after 40kmph!

The problem is not very big, it might be something wrong with the wire that connects engine to the meter . . .

Experts will help you solve the problem, good luck, drive safe

Yesterday I asked about the problem from a speedometer mechanic. He told me, "GREASE SAHI TARHA LAGA K FIT KARO, SMOOTH HO JAYE GI, ABHI MERE PAAS TIME NAI HAI, KISI AUR MISTARI SE KARWA LO. SIRF WIRE KA PROBLEM HAI AUR KUCH NAI". He was overhauling the 1990's Prado meter so he wasn't willing to fix my car because kia baat hai kia cheez hai pai$a!!!

throttle body needed cleaning as it most likely is a stuck idle air control sensor.

That's the best thing to do! NEVER try to get it fixed by USTADs if it is in warranty!!!
