I have cuore-06, driven 78K Kilometers. It has never had a brake oil change, just occasional topping from brake reservoir. Over passage of time I experienced brakes getting less and less responsive. On once occasion the piston of one brake caliper did not seem to retract properly causing dragging of car on one side when braking. Toyota dealership suggested me to change the caliper kits ( Rupees 3450) and eventually brake fluid (Rupees 650) since all existing fliud would be drained. I did not fully agree with them about caliper kit changing because there was no brake fluid leakage, but flushing brake fluid would definitely be necessary. Also I did not like their method of fully draining the brake fluid and then refilling because it can cause air lock problems. So I bought the Original Toyota brake fluid and decided to flush it myself.
After some googling here is a method I found which seems reliable. Its for a Subaru but general procedure would be same so I will be following this
Change Brake Fluid - Subaru WRX STi - YouTube
To suck out fluid from reservoir I plan to use a 60cc syringe instead of a turkey baster.
This is the bottle of Toyota Dot-3 Brake fluid I got
Any comments and suggestions are welcome. I plan to do it tomorrow
