Upon request of Alta I'm doing a DIY on cleaning the intake manifold of the Vitz. I wasn't bothered to remove the throttle body so i did it the lazy way. Make sure the engine is cold otherwise you'll not be able to remove the back housing of the airbox because your car will not start without the airflow sensor in place. When the engine is cold it is on auto choke so make a note of this.
You'll need a #10 spanner and a can of WD-40
And before you all go mental and point out that my vitz is grey, this is @alraze's car, I had already done my cleaning in the morning.
Open bonnet and remove the air filter housing as if you were about to change the air filter

Open these 3 nuts (circled red) using a number 10 spanner

Unhook your air flow sensors wires (large red circle) by pressing down on the release button (small red circle)

Forgot what this sucker is called, just pull it up!

now that the rest of your airbox is loose just twist a few degrees and lift up.

Underneath you'll find your throttle body

Close up if what you need to clean, take a few shots of WD-40 to it and just clean it up (engine off)

Inside this cars intake manifold was pretty clean (Picture taken with engine off)

Another view, again engine was off, but the butterfly will have to be fully open for you to be able to shoot the WD-40 onto the intake and the engine will have to be running. Just use your commom sense as to how much you should spray into the manifold and how long you should hold the throttle open for (remember that the engine will die as soon as it warms up - no air flow sensor connected)

Repeat the process in reverse to fit everything back into place
The finished result, and it was alot faster/ smoother running.

It's late so i'm exhausted and i know i might have missed a crucial point out, so please ask as amny questions as you'd like and i'll get back to you all by around 3-4pm tomorrow.
