@all
thanks, hopefully this one will not take a million pages liek the 1303 did because this time i'm NOT getting it done by a team of untrained monkeys.
the car needs ALOT of work because (as with all cars in PK) it's very nice to look at but mechanically and structurally it requires major surgery.
As for colours i'm deciding between a sahara beige (sand colour used on land rovers) in matte finish, or gun metal grey (again a land rover colour but i might choose the previous civic grey instead as it is easier to match) in gloss like on my defender.
@parapilot
he's a hard guy to track down, but i'm glad i found him.
@buksh
yup, it's form the old set of pics, the car is already stripped down so there is no point using a stipped pic on the main page (same case with my 1303 project, i used an image from the sellers ad).
more pics to come soon.
@spidey
exactly
@psyb0rg
i've got to do some research on the AV series engine as i know NOTHING about it, but as long as it's a dual port i'll leave it alone. however if it is a single port then i'll be swapping out the heads, going dual carb and side exit exhausts (same setup as is intended for the 1303), as for the rest of it, i'll leave it as stock as possible,.. oh yeah,.. the rim centres will recieve a "touch" too
@nasirkhalidabasi
indeed, as the roof drops down and the doors come off (it has seatbelts) it could be ALOT of fun in the mountains at a gentle speed. the last VWCOP meeting was what inspired me to buy it as romano, KPsheikh & I were all thinking about how nice it woudl have been to be in a 181/182 that day instead of stuffing me in the back of romanos car
@asad
didn't take any pics today as my phone battery died, will take some next week and then i'll get this thread "cooking".
