For the benefit of other Daihatsu Mira owners I am sharing the maintenance schedule. The content has been translated from Daihatsu Mira's Japanese user manual so the grammar might seem a little odd.

DISCLAIMER
This maintenance schedule is for 2011 and 2012 model however most of the specifications are common between 2007-2012 models. I can't edit the title thread so I am putting the disclaimer here.

great piece of info however, will be mcuh more useful if u can clarify whether to use the category of MT or CVT transmission data as most of the users have 3 gear Auto tranmission. I think it should have been cvt becoz probably the info is mixed up while translating.....

Auto transmission is CVT so use CVT trans fluid it is clearly understandable from the images above what is making you confused?? dude !

While most of the specifications apply to all Miras from 2007-2012. Some are only relevant for the current models 2010-2011-2012. The current models come in either a manual or a CVT transmission which is why the 3 speed or 4 speed automatic is missing from this specification. If you have an older model 3 speed or a 4 speed automatic, then the CVT specification does not apply to you.

In other words, DO NOT PUT CVT OIL in a 3 speed or 4 speed auto!!!

Hi can anyone tell me about the spark plug gap of mira ES. I have the mannual but its not mentioned in the mannual. I have heard it's but can anyone confirm. The exact gap gives good mileage.

The mechanic told me that 3.5 liters will be required but Mira service manual says its 2.4 L (Drain). Need guidance

on draining the amount of fluid which comes out is the amount u replace usually its 2.3-2.5 ltr in case of mira...dnt listen mechanic.......however to do full flush of transmission u have to use 5.5-6 ltr.....for which u have to remove the transmission cooling pipe in radiator and put it in 1.5 ltr clear bottle.......now start the car in P and the fluid will come in it...when it becomes full i.e 1.5 ltr........fill the fresh fluid from fill port......repeat this process till u start getting fresh fluid in bottle.....but for this process ur tranny should be hot i.e driven for 8-10 km........this will require 6-6.2 litre but all fresh fluid in tranny.....bdw how much is ur car driven???

Mira 2006 has a different engine, this maintenance schedule does not apply to it. However you can use it as a guide.
