Seats Heating, seat ventilation, seats massage, luxury leather, car refrigerator … … If we talk about these things, we might immediately imagine BMW 7, Mercedes-Benz S and similar high-end luxury models, and their expense values, but today we are actually talking about a really true independent model, the Chery Riich G6.
With QQ and a variety of "A series" mini-cars, Chery has occupied half of domestic independent brand market, but with the rising of car-making level, product diversification ideas have been strongly increasing, so after Riich G5’s launch, Chery is pushing out it’s brand new Riich G6 to mid-size car market, the main customers are aimed at luxury business style, lets take a look at it.
Chery Riich G6’s external shape is almost same as G5 except body size is bigger, wheelbase is also 120mm longer, so G6 looks more lordly. Decorative chrome plating is everywhere over the body, It is obvious that is a luxury business style model.
Riich G6 is equipped with automatic adaptive Xenon headlamps, i.e. headlamps can change the irradiation angle by automatically following the variation of vehicle angle, such as uphill, downhill, turning and etc., and also equipped with daytime running lights, a very fashionable profile.
At the rear the G6 looks quite dashing, dual exhausts with chrome plating gives it a luxurious look. As a high-end luxury model, the trunk cannot be opened from a key from outside, it can only be electronically opened from inside. G6 comes with multi-spoke aluminum alloy wheels, having size of 215/55 R17.
When you first see Chery Riich G6’s interior, you would be surprised by its absolute luxury assembly, including the mix of colors, interior materials and process standards are very good! While it can not be compared to those luxury models of foreign brands, but I think G6’s interior is fully satisfactory. Light grey color & beige color combination coupled with wooden & chrome finish really give G6 the temperament of a luxury car.
All operations about the headlamps are at the left of the steering wheel, mirror adjustment is in the position of pillar A, this style is very similar to Volkswagen. Functional areas of the whole center console panel are very clear, and there are not too may keys, DVD navigation, audio, air conditioning can be operated without any process of adaptation, touch feelings of buttons and knobs are also very good. Workmanship of center console is very fine, knobs and buttons have quite a good handle feeling.
Glove box has a press button to open with a key lock given as well, however the space in there is a little too narrow.
Let’s go to the armrest, there are many keys here, the Riich G6 has a very rich configuration, the seats heating, rear sunshade curtain switch, CDC suspension control system, electronic trunk opener and an electronic handbrake, which are the first time to see in an independent model. Cup holders are there with sliding lid however the movable armrest would affect the usage of cup holders.
G6's safety offers a total of 10 airbags, including waist bag all of which comes as a standard equipment..
Here I have to talk about Riich G6’s powerful seat, first is the feeling of comfort is excellent! First I get into the car I feel like sitting on the big sofa, it’s very soft and comfortable, and well encapsulated, it is said the leather of seat is used by buckskin, we have been unable to research for this point, but a full range of seat adjustments, seat ventilation, or else the 4-direction adjustment are all reality!
We’ve already enjoyed enough from the front row equipment, the functionality and usability are very good! Of course designers have not forgotten to design excellent safety profile for this luxury car, 10 airbags are designed for the whole model. How about it? Do not worry, we have not rolled to back row…
Riich G6 as a luxury car for business purpose, naturally, more resources should be distributed to back row, after all, VIP always sit in back row, making them comfortable is most important. First of all we still take a look at the seat, the move of front co-pilot seat is controlled by rear row passenger.
Temperature of air outlet vents of rear row can be individually adjusted.
