I hate to be opinionated here, but between the DB6 and the Ian Callum penned DB7, Aston had lost a bit of touch with respect to design. Don't get me wrong, they're still earth-shaking cars, especially the twin S/C'ed Vantage and V600 models. But they had too much in common with other cars. They didn't look "special" enough.
That said, I envy you Even getting to sit in one would be wonderful for me. What can I say? I work on cutting edge-technology, but never get to sample it in production form
