    Question Restoration of Lazzaz

    After her last glorifying act of winning the night mud rally, Lazzaz died on the way back from Lahore. She was a heart patient and got real excited after winning the rally and hence the heart failure.

    Below are the pictures of her after winning the rally.

    I was opting for 3C turbo engine but due to the scarcity of diesel engines in the market, 3S will be the new motor.
    Engine has been purchased and hopefully, I will be getting Lazzaz back sometime next week. What should be must to do/consider for replacing 2C turbo with 3S????

    Has anyone done this swap? Do I need to change the gears? Current setup is Rocky 5 speed gear and differentials.

    After the engine, next step will be suspension upgrades to take the abuse in rally conditions. What needs to be done to improve stability at high speeds? Will dual shocks on all four wheels help???

    Any kind of valid/invalid wild ideas and suggestions are highly welcomed.Restoration of Lazzaz - 67786

    @Offroader. Brother if the 2c hasn't caused any issues, why swap it ??? A 2c engine with a SSR gearbox is the way to go with a suzuki jeep.

    Offroader2323,

    So far it is running good. Performance offroad is way better than 2C. I was planning to have 3C but changed to 3S because of abnormally high price.

    Fuel consumption is also quite good. Giving me around 10+ in town.

    The only long trip on this engine was IJC Rohtas event in June or July and it was real hot but never had any heating issue there.

    @Choctalpur.
    Brother the problem is that the engine in Jeep have been overhauled three times now i have made up my mind to rebuild my jeep completely so the engine needs to be changed. i was planning to put a 3C-T engine but as patriot says it is abnormally priced.
    now i thinking to shift to a petrol one......... so the options i have are 1.3L Suzuki Sierra(Jimny) EFI, 1.8L 3Y toyota conventional carburator and 2.0L 3S-FE. i personally preferres the 3S-FE one cause of its perfomance and newer technology as compared to 3Y.

    offroader,

    what is your gear and differential setup. Do consult with your mechanic for matching as if not matched properly might cause you headache and $$$

    My setup was Rocky gear/differential and they are working pretty fine.

    You will not regret 3SFE, if you are able to find 3SGe, even better

    Guys,

    Time to move on.
    I am thinking of changing the suspension setup. looking at the option of having two shocks at each wheel. Some of the leaf springs are DESI, will be replacing them with Rocky's.
    Ranchos are out of the market. which one should I go with?

    KYB, Belistien other??? What at price are we looking at???

    Sir i have toyota SSRX gear box and Suzuki's original Differentials commonly known as 9 43 amongst suzuki experts

    and i think 3SGE originally comes with 1990 toyota Celica........

    Check the 1st page of this thread. 3SGE was in production till 2005.

    Don't know the place for shocks, will see. might end up with Landcruiser OEM.

    Hahah! Bohot aala bro. Yes, Asad had put LC KYB's on the Pajero I bought from him in the rear, and they are pretty solid shocks. Virtually no sway.

    Is it mandatory to have a solid roof for rallies or do you just need a roll cage?
