    Default Power stearing Issue

    AOA
I hear a strange sound when i turn the stearing wheel on my FJ70 and close to lock on either side, the engie runs a little rough, i.e like there was some extra load on it. Also, i feel a slight decrease in returnability when turning back to the center position. There appear to be no leaks from the power stearing pump/reservoir. Could the pump be close to dying? What could be the best fix?
    Regards

I see you have got some, make sure your wheels aren't touching the insides of the arches. There could be problem with alignment / camber adjustment that can cause over sized wheels + Tyres to touch the inside.
Drive carefully! Remember, it's not only a car that can be recalled by it's maker.

Is your power steering oil of good quality? You may consider changing the oil as well if you did not put it in yourself and are not sure about its quality.

Normal behaviour of pump, turning radius stopper bolt not align properly.

the blades of pump are gone.Only solution is to change the pump,As the blades cannot be repaired or replaced.
Qaiser Pal,I have not failed. But found 1 of 10,000 ways which doesn't work.....Toyota driver "I couldn't repair my brakes,so i made my horn louder"..When i was born i was so surprised that i didn't talked to one and half year..since light travel faster then sound, people appear bright until you hear them speak..If u can't convince them, confuse them

Remove power pump reservior cap if foaming in oil is visible, keep the engine running at idle for 15 min. Let me know if the problem is solved or not.

Tried that just now, foaming still there, noise still there. It sounds a bit like a grinder being used on wood. Pump?

I am sure raohamid was referring to parts availability as one of the joys of owning a toyota amidst many others.
You reckon this could be because of debris formed in the pump over the years?
