    Default 1st 4X4 / JEEP / SUV

    Salam Brothers

For past 15 years, I have been driving sedans and hatchbacks. I want to own something higher from ground ..... Jeep/SUV/4X4 Here are my preferences:

    1. Budget = 1.3 Million ..... or trade with Suzuki Swift 2010 +-
    2. Must be a hard top
    3. diesel engine .... 2.4/2.8/3.0 engine
    4. I will not be using it for off-roading
    5. Maintenance should be available in local market
    6. Rawalpindi and Islamabad numbers preferably

I have no experience with jeeps before neither with SUVs so please teach me ...

    Waiting for suggestions.

In your budget the best vehicle you can get is either a Pajero Gen 2 or Gen 2.5 or a 94 Surf, do u want a 3 door or 5 door vehicle?
You might even luck out and find an 80 series landcruiser

If one is to learn the art the right way.... one's first 4x4 should be a true jeep and a jugar-meister at that! As one gets older and more and more used to the the modern cross-over type 4x4 vehicles, one essentially loses both the capacity and desire to learn the subtleties of "Zen and the Art of 4x4 Maintenance"!

    Just my two naughty cents

    @SK

That's very very naughty.....give the guy a break and get him something that doesn't require popping up the hood every time he heads out of his driveway!

    hmmm

Thanks all brothers, i really like wrestling with diesel engines and wiping off spilled oil but I dont think I will be able to spare time for that now
Still need some more suggestions ..... my preference is a 3-door .... I am looking for land cruiser but no success yet.
I like surf too but I guess those are expensive than 3 doors .... ?? maybe?

    Salam

I have searched thru web ..... and asked few friends ..... most of em vote for LC 3 door ...... 5-door is not an option here ..... let me know if anyone wants to trade LC 3-door with swift 2010 (13,500km done) ...... i dunno what are the odds of jeep-fan trading in with hatch backs but am just taking my chances here .....
