Default A good combination is more important than just bigger engine.

Dear friends, when i look back, i feel myself lucky enough to have kept/ throughly driven almost all famous 4X4 brands available here in Pakistan. Currently i have a 5 door land cruiser, 6 cylinder, 4000cc petrol engine which really works like a beast.

In the last few months i started liking a very special 4X4 with many offroading qualities. I am happy to announce that last week i purchased one in excellent condition so would like to share it with you all.

    The details are

    suzuki Jimny LJ 50
    1978 model
    2 stroke
    539cc
    4 fwd gear
    weighs around 600kg
    soft top
    rwp registered
    original from inside outside
    4X4 working
    100% original mechanically
    original book
    original engine
    top speed 90 Km/hr
    mileage around 18 km/ ltr

I am giving few pictures which i took today.

Oh yes. I had already planned that. I have once done this experiment on a suzuki of a friend. It was converted to a long chassis as per the original specifications. The difference between both the brands is a length of 23" (13.5" from the centre and 9.5" from the end).

Took her to some light offroading yesterday. The result was good as mechanically it's perfect, no noise of axles on turning while on 4X4. Both high and low ratio gears were good. The area was full of small stones and the tyres were also not of offroading type so slipped a bit but overall i found it fit for experiments.

the second video.. do u think it would have been as trying with your other 4000cc 6cylinder?
great find by the way. looks cool as hell ! as for the suggested mods, I like those rims you have on at the moment. Are these 20inches? and chrome too..
I wouldn't lengthen the body or frame unless there is a need. why lose strength in the frame.. but that's me.

    congratulations on the ride !

In the last three weeks or so i did the following to really make it reliable.

    1. All four leaf springs changed to kabli.
    2. Bushes of leaf springs changed including the shackles.
    3. Free wheel hubs fixed.
    4. Brake leathers changed and brakes serviced.
    5. All three shafts changed to kabli.
    6. Head gas kit changed. The engine is otherwise 100%.
    7. Brake lights, reverse lights, indicators, head lights, parking lights changed.
    8. Wipers were not working so corrected them.

Other than the above items, it's in very good condition. It has a smooth drive and good balance.

Default Noman Saheb, A Good Vehicle

Noman Saheb, I would like to suggest something if you don't mind.
Vehicles are to be used: not praised or appreciated or kept in showcases.
So, it is very convenient to have a vehicle where all the spares are easily available.
Stretching the vehicle will change requirements for leaf springs, for balance rods, or whatever mechanism your vehicle is using for keeping the tyre on the ground, the driving shaft, etc.
Brakes, and other minor adjustments are also important.
    All this at a cost....
And please calculate the advantages you are gaining after all this trouble...
and if you wish to sell it off any time later, ...... Bang...
    So, please do consider it.

If you wish a longer chassis vehicle, pl. go for original long body Suzuki, or a 5 door Vitara, or Daihatsu Rocky, .... or .......
    the choices are unlimited.

Once the body is original long chassis, then you can work on the upper shell, and convert it into soft top or targa top or something else....

In the same event, it was all water under the long grass. See a monster being stuck trying to cross it (1min 10sec) and how i did it (1min 23sec). The light weight was an advantage.
