60 Series is a very good vehicle, especially when you consider on-road travel. It has a longer body, and more luggage space. Contrary to common perceptions, it is also a very good off-roader. Its articulation, subject to its leaf springs being in good shape and original Toyota manufactured, its terrain-hugging is absolutely wonderful. Limitation is only in driver's view of the track when climbing uphill on a winding road, because of the length of the bonnet.
BJ 73 is better than its shorter counter-part, BJ 70, but is still a bit harsher as compared to its longer cousin. Both are excellent on part availability, and re-sale, though original purchase has to be reasonable. Both should come in the region of 600,000 to 750,000 type of price tag, if in good shape.
One fellow pakwheeler is probably selling his HJ61 with a much better engine, 12HT. I am not sure. Contact Veitnam for details, if you are interested.
