Default fj40 or mutt?

Well i m going to buy a jeep soon inshaAllah....my main purpose is mild offroading nd trips to northern areas n Kashmir....Now i m in a fix whether to buy An fj40 or mutt ? Personally i like the fj more but i guess that it will be heavy on fuel as it has 4.2l engine ...though since its toyotaa..paarts wont be an issue...on the other hand i believe mutt would be economical fuel wise but sourcing out parts would be an issue...
I would like to inquire from u experts out there the performance comparison of both the machines....the restoration aand maintenance costs...If anybody is selling his jeep...he should feel free to contact me..

Regards

FJ40 is better option but its acquisition cost is also much higher, before getting into buying, also calculate your restoration cost and then explore what else you can get in the total amount, I think Gen-I Pajero can also be very exciting option

What Basharatu said. Especially if you're new to 4x4s. Gen 1 Pajero > FJ40. Yes, the FJ is a superior off-road machine, but the performance comes at the cost of comfort and economy amongst other things.

Both FJ and Mutt are entirely different from each other, it all depends on user to user.
if you are looking forward to mild offroading and long trip then you must go for a Pajero as suggested above. Because the restro cost of a mutt would eventually touch the price for a 3 door pajero.
And FJ's restro cost would be double according to me
So it all depends how much you wana invest.

i am an owner of a mutt and so far im happy with it.
dont worry about parts in pakistan we have everything...
if ppl can keep uni-mogs then mutts are nothing....

sab milta hai pakistan mein..

These are two entirely different vehicles.

Keeping in mind your demands, the only way for you to go is FJ40.
Yes; the stock 4.2 petrol is a very thirsty lump, but you can easily find a 3B diesel and go for a swap. 3B will give you more kilometers for your money than a 2F.

MUTT is a tactical vehicle designed specifically for military field operations. It is not meant for touring.
