    Default 93 Model Prado Engine Swap

    Assalam O Alaikum

    Guyz i have a prado 93 model with 2L diesel engine. Engine is too noisy, smooking too much and pik is very poor. I m thinkig about engine swap from to 2L diesel to 3RZ Gasoline. please give me suggestions should i go for 3rz or 1kz Diesel. and also share ur experieces plz about the mileage of both engines...

    5L is the best option if you want to stay simple.
    rest 1KZ-TE is a better option if you not worry about fuel average.

    1KD is the top of the line option.

    Completely agree with first part of your suggestion....not sure about the 1KD...

    We all know the pre 2009 1KDs come with the injector issues and a good post 2009 1KD is not just difficult to find but very expensive...and then you need a good electronics man to hook it up, which is very difficult to find in Pakistan...

    1kd is very technical thing to install a lot of effort and money is needed to find one. the orignal 93-95 prado comes with 1kz-te(turbo) so u must use the 1kz-te. another option is 5L-e which is more powerful than 3L, and more fuel efficient than 1kz-te. 5l is non turbo and simpler.

    how much would 5L-e cost including swap labour..
