A few more test runs. Wheel alignment done. Brakes adjusted.

Uptill now engine was using fuel from a diesel can. Started plumbing of fuel line from tank. Took measurements and got a new fuel line fabricated. Installed fuel line and return line.

Seems that no one paid attention to updates!

Anyhow, working on new radiator started. A new radiator 4 nali jali (core) bought. It is a local made Awami jali. Also bought the upper and lower tanks alongwith other parts. These parts provided to a radiator wala, who assembled the whole thing and fixed it into the frame of original radiator.

An electric fan (from some toyota corolla probably) bought and fixed with the radiator.

A thermostat switch also installed in radiator and the fan connected through the switch.

Finally a water resrevior bottle for radiator was also installed.

This setups seems to work fine.

    Saad Bhai,

I need original hooks that hold the hood of the engine. As you know the differentials and gearbox will be changed. Font motors and unit for main and passenger window. As it is a split screen 2 would be required. I also need a unique jerrycan and a jack.

    AoA guys!

After a long long gap I have opened this thread. It was abandoned in between and I feel that it should be brought to its logical ending.

Many of you have noted that the restoration started many years back and actually completed before I started posting it on this forum.

I am using this Jeep for last 3+ years mostly on hunting trips and in city sometimes. Thanks God, I am happy that it kept running all this time and never broke. I feared of some major disaster during initial testing and first few out station trips because I am no expert nor a professional mechanic least saying a mechanic of jeeps!

Many people warned me that you will need to refix many things once you put whole jeep togather and start running it. Thanks God many many times my fears proved wrong. I used the original technical manuals for guidance on repair and adjustments, got help on forums and tried to put best available parts.

Though this jeep is not a luxury or comfortable vehicle but it is fun, specially offroad. It is a head turner too. It has limitations on speed, braking, comfort and safety but it is a unique thing to have, which not many people have today.

I tried my best to keep every thing original except engine which I could not find at that time. I had in back of my mind that one day may be I or another person will restore it to 100% original specs, so it should be modified minimally .

Some final touches are yet to be given like markings, shovel, gauges etc but could not find time nowadays, maybe this summer, Inshallah.

Lastly, thanks to all members of this forum for liking and encouragement. I really appreciate Libra for providing this wonderful forum to all auto lovers of Pakistan.

Some photos will follow which I had not uploaded yet.
