Although there have been some minor changes over the years, basic body shape is probably about 30 to 50 years old. (storm can probably comment on this).
Old Man Emu, is a springs and shocks (suspension) kit made by an Australian company called ARB. They make these for other 4x4s as well.
Their web site address is: http://www.arb.com.au/
I was not happy with the ride quality and handling of my landy and that is why I replaced the stock factory fitted springs and shocks with Old Man Emu kit.
Both the ride quality and handling are superb. I am not sure how they compare to japanese SUVs as I have not driven them.
The seats and the interior was all done in Karachi.
Again the quality of factory fitted seats and interior was very poor. Probably due to the fact that land rovers are being assembled in Pakistan for Pak army, and some (like mine) are being sold in the civilian market.
Exterior lights: I bought most of these in the US and hand carried them back. So yes they are imported.
In terms of cost, hey can you get land cruiser or pajero band new 2005 for 23 lakhs?
