    Yes, the calendar is incorrect and now if Bahrain got rescheduled then it needs more updates so just wait for the decision about Bahrain. The News piece about Bahrain rescheduling is saying that the race could happen anywhere between Malaysian GP and Abu Dhabi GP that means between 17 races they could reschedule the Bahrain GP.

    Yeah buddy, Red Bull have a lot of time in hand. They have done one or two runs which were relatively close to a qualifying run but nothing close to anything on qualifying fuel. They have things under control and clearly don't feel the need to bother doing a fast time. It might come later today or at the next test.

    The one team thats baffling everyone is Ferrari. They are the ones who are sandbagging big time. Everyone knows and expects Red Bull to be the leading team but the question mark is over by how much?

    Rosberg and Mercedes are doing " glory " runs just like Schumacher did.

    @m_waqas

    There is no news yet about Bahrain GP. It's pretty clear that the test will not take place there. Teams are bound to follow Bernie's order and race where ever he says they race. FOTA had dented his authority quite a bit but one by one the big FOTA guys have left.

    It is hard to see how they can switch the GP so late with another venue. There was talk of changing it with Abu Dhabi, but that would be silly. I don't think it will be done, and the best they can hope for is for it to be rescheduled for later in the season or take Bernie's orders and go to Bahrain no matter what. After all, F1 does go to a place that has the worst human rights record any where in the world

    The tires look like full wets to me. It has some gravel on it which is making it hard to judge, but inters would have a lot less thread i think unless Pirelli inters are totally different

    @Eddie

    Have you been shopping today, kiddo? As for more attention being paid to you, as Steve said, this is an important time, perhaps the most important , after this it's more of the same and does not have that special feeling about it.
    Come back, Luca Badoer, all is forgiven.

    First tweet from Martin Brundle. I value his opinion above anyone else. As a driver he was quite average in F1, but as a commentator and pundit, he is peerless.

    Martin Brundle gives his take... "Drivers will ***** like crazy but I'm really liking what I'm seeing out on track. They are really having to drive the cars, loads of mistakes

    "Mercedes has poor traction, McLaren looks shocking as if on cold tyres, Red Bull+Ferrari+Renault Lotus Lada+Williams all pounding round"

    BBC Sport's Sarah Holt in Barcelona: "You may remember on Saturday that Ferrari's Fernando Alonso called Red Bull his biggest rival, well guess who Mark Webber has picked? Yes, Webber named Ferrari, and why? 'Fernando works for them and he's pretty handy,' Webber said. Anything else? 'Ferrari finished the year very strong and they've come out of the gates very strong; the car is running, it's always out there, they aren't hanging around when they are out there, they're pretty quick and the team are always organised.' What about McLaren, the only other team to join Red Bull and Ferrari as race winners in 2010? 'We're not sure what's going on with McLaren,' Webber mused. 'It's obviously early days with their car'."

    Edd Straw put this on his twitter yesterday about the new Mclaren
    .

    It's a tweet to BBC and from there i think it's picked by a forum with some funny replies.

    Love this tweet to BBC F1 coverage.....

    "In regards to McLaren's lack of pace, could it be that because the design is so advanced that the drivers have been told to run at 90% throttle max while they make sure everything else is bed in? Thus, come the final test, we see McLaren let rip?"

    why 90% and not 80%. Hell i thinking they're only running at 50% of full power

    Dude. They don't use throttle at all. 0 %. They must use maximum brake for a whole lap just to seem like they are about everyone elses speed.

    I have heard they are using reverse gear to slow that car down - just sandbagging for now

    I heard they replaced all the carbon fiber with lead! Makes sense! Lol

    And instead of an engine they put one giantic, mutant hamster in the wheel. They make him run in the wheel to make the car go.
    Come back, Luca Badoer, all is forgiven.

    I really don't understand why they have to test at Barcelona again, even if they need to test in Spain they should have gone to Motorland Aragon which have FIA's Level 1 certification and also design by Hermann Tilke.

    Sorry for late reply about those Tyres, yes those tyres are Intermediates and not Extreme Wets. Extreme Wets are different kind of tyres they need to have square pattern rather then just some tread patterns.

    Brundle: Struggling teams could benefit

    BBC F1 commentator Martin Brundle believes the decision to call off the Bahrain Grand Prix could benefit some of the struggling teams.

    Organisers of the race on Monday confirmed they have withdrawn the event from the March 13 slot due to the ongoing rest in the Middle Eastern country.

    Ecclestone says axed Bahrain GP could return in 2011

    The news, late on Monday, followed hot on the heels of reports that the final pre-season test at the same Sakhir venue will also not take place, due to the civil unrest in the island Kingdom.

    But while the ink was still dry on the cancellation statements, F1 chief executive Bernie Ecclestone was stressing the possibility of a rescheduled Bahrain grand prix later in 2011.

    Berger doubts Mercedes can catch up in 2011

    Over a month ahead of the new 2011 season opener in Australia, Gerhard Berger doubts Mercedes can be a contender for the world championship.

    The former Ferrari and McLaren driver notes that the silver W02 car is already behind on the winter test tracks and "there is no logical reason why they should catch up".

    Brundle and Coulthard expect unpredictable 2011
    Between them they started over 400 F1 races and caused a huge crash at Melbourne 15 years ago.
    Now Martin Brundle and David Coulthard will be talking to 50 million English-speaking F1 fans every race weekend as BBC's commentators.

    Ferrari pile on the miles as Mclaren focus on simulation

    Ferrari have done twice as much testing with their new car as McLaren have.
    Mclaren launched their MP4-26 after three of the 15 days of testing had already been completed.Ferrari have completed more laps with their F150th Italia than McLaren have with their MP4-26 on every day of testing so far, indicating a difference in philosophy between the two teams.

    Barcelona Test Day 4 - Massa shows qualifying pace
    Today was the final day of the test at Barcelona, a momentous day with the announcement that the first race of the season in Bahrain has been cancelled. This means that the F1 teams will be back here for a further test on 8th March, which replaces the one scheduled for Bahrain.

    F1 test Analysis
    We’ve heard a lot recently about the Pirelli tyres not lasting long and how this will affect race strategy this season, with three and even four stops a possibility at some races, based on current wear rates.
    I’m grateful to my old friend and colleague Kaz Kawai from Japanese Fuji TV, who has patrolled the pit lane with me for over 20 years, for sending me some graphs illustrating the difference in the way the Bridgestone and Pirelli tyres function.

    Inside Testing - Daily Barcelona blog

    Monday at Barcelona

    Just like last year's Chinese Grand Prix race day - when the volcano ash stranded F1 teams in Shanghai - the final day of the Barcelona test was a sideshow to goings on elsewhere. It had been clear for some days that the Bahrain Grand Prix would almost certainly be cancelled, but there was still intrigue surrounding the situation.

    With teams starting the day with half an eye on whether they would have to pack up with the intention of heading east for the March 3 test or plan to return to action in Spain.

    While waiting for the inevitable decision, there atmosphere was of winding down. With HRT already packed up, the car count dropped to 10 once Jarno Trulli put the Lotus in the wall early on (car, not driver error).

    With teams running through their 10 sets of tyres, there weren't quite as many laps as the previous day, although Felipe Massa at least grabbed the attention – for the right reasons this time – by setting the only lap in the 1m22s bracket late on. It was a short stint, so perhaps we were seeing something approaching the potential of the car, although there remains the nagging feeling that dipping into the 21s might be possible not just for the Scuderia, but possibly Red Bull too.

    There are several ways to infer the blurriest image of a competitive order from testing at this stage. One is the laptimes, another is the behaviour of the car on track and the other is the feeling inside the team. For those doing well, there's a kind of desperately cautious optimism. For several teams, things are progressing pretty well and that includes the likes of Renault, Williams and Sauber - with the Enstone team looking like it could have the potential to have a say in who is winning races.

    The reality is that no one knows what the competitive order will be. There's not a car on the track that has run in exactly the trim that it will hit the track in come the season-opening Australian Grand Prix (now that sounds right) and despite reams of data being gathered and thousands of parts being tried between the teams, it still amounts to little more than a collection of early signs.

    At the next Barcelona test and in Melbourne, there will be plenty of car changes – and those teams whose pre-season hasn't gone as smoothly as planned will all be determined to make them work and get in the came for a good result in Australia.

    In the meantime, teams started packing up knowing that it would be back to Barcelona in a couple of weeks.

    It's not a bad result for the teams, as Barcelona remains one of the best test tracks around, and one that shows up the aerodynamically strong like few others. In two weeks time, we will have a whole new set of early signs to absorb as the delayed start of the season approaches.
    Come back, Luca Badoer, all is forgiven.

    Trulli: Pirellis lack development
    Jarno Trulli believes Pirelli's tyres are still lacking development, the Italian claiming this year's rubber is proving too inconsistent.

    Pirelli is returning to Formula 1 this year for the first time since 1991, and the company has stated several times that its tyres have been designed to wear quickly enough for drivers to have to make two pitstops in each race.
    Trulli, however, reckons the tyres are lacking balance.

    Kubica begins his rehabilitation process
    Robert Kubica has begun his rehabilitation and is in "pretty good" condition mentally following his accident, one of the the doctors treating him said on Tuesday. Kubica underwent his final surgery last week and was moved out of the intensive care unit a few days ago.
    Doctor Igor Rossello said Kubica's conditions was positive and that the Pole was already working on his rehabilitation.

    Kolles: HRT 'will catch' Lotus, Virgin
    HRT team boss Colin Kolles sees no reason why his squad cannot overhaul fellow 2010 newcomers Lotus and Virgin in the future, and believes its new F111 will bring up to date with contemporary Formula 1 design after its poor debut year. The 2010 HRT - which was originally created by Dallara before the relationship between the Italian constructor and the team broke down - was the slowest car in the field throughout last season.

    @m_waqas
    What else you want Schumi to do after his car broke down, also he is one of those drivers who is quite friendly plus the only 7 time WDC on the grid F1. As this is testing so there is no need to work fast to remove a stranded car from the track, so may be they think to have chat with the legend.

    @UK
    I think from the comments about McLaren this is more ironic and funny then any other comment:
    And instead of an engine they put one giantic, mutant hamster in the wheel. They make him run in the wheel to make the car go
    I thought the hamster was driving the car never thought that it was present in the engine bay.

    We have comments regarding the top 4 but what about STR and Williams especially STR as they have a different type of floor then any other car on the grid. They have posted some good times too plus there is some suspicion that this may be another of Adrian Newey gems.

    What have you posted under 2011 Racers, because I can't see anything at all. Is I am not eligible to see that stuff. Looks like you have posted something only for Paula as she is the only one who can sees that.
