Default Coure production in Pak going to be ended

Indus motors is planning to ending up production of Daihatsu coure very soon. There is no plan to upgrade this model but shifting their focus to corolla only. There will be no more Daihatsu coure production in Pakistan in the future.

    Authentic news.

But if calculate using m3, Mehran is smaller due to the height.

Shifting focus to corolla is not a very good idea. Cuore has a reasonable share in the small car segment and is as such bringing good revenues to the company. By catering to two different market segments they are able to earn revenue from both. They should not rely on only one product for its revenues.

Cuore sells easily and people are willing to pay own for the car. It is in demand so doesn't really make sense for the company to end it.

very simple--- there is a much Price Difference.

Both are non-Efi with no power windows/mirrors/steering, no airbags,no abs. Ab kisi ko coure pasand kisi ko Mehran... both are only fit for local duty or < 50 traveling. Coure ki price dekh kr chakr ate hen insan ko jaise 1 litre men 30km krti ho. Kher hr kisi ki apni pasand...hr koi apni pocket aor zarurat ko dekh kr hi leta ho ga.

Yes both are non efi. Steering of cuore is much lighter than cultus/mehran.alto/santro club model.
Suspension system is really awesome. even with 5 ppl car doesnt loose control.
Much much comfortable than mehran. Drive alto/cultus on long route and cuore. u ill feel much difference.
I myself goes to my native town 1000km far from islamabad once in a month. cuore never created any prob. A/C performs very well and doesnt stops cooling on long route. even cultus A/c stops cooling on long routes.
cuore has much better drive than mehran and alto.
Braking is awesome. u dont have to push the brake pedal hard to stop the car.
My biggest mistake was i took my cousins alto on long route and when after continuously drive. i was feeling pain in body. worst experience ever.
Back in 06-07. The Difference b.w the price of cuore and Mehran was just 80 thousand. price is increased due to IMC. because it was selling more. Chor hayn ye indus walay

    At last! Thank God!

    Production elsewhere
Production of the L500 Mira was picked up in Malaysia in 2001, where it was sold alongside the Kancil as the Perodua Kelisa with the familiar Daihatsu E-series engines of 660, 850, or 1000 cc. Perodua ended production of the model in 2007. The model remains in production today only in Pakistan, as the Daihatsu Cuore. It has rolled off the assembly line of Toyota Indus Motor Company since 2000, with the 847 cc carburetor engine (ED-10) which has been used in export models since 1986.[9]

This thread is pathetic. You guys are fawning over a box on wheels! As the OP said the bloody thing is long obsolete in the international market and even parts manufacturers aren't willing to support it anymore so IMC had to stop producing it.

When you guys are done drooling over the little tin box on wheels I suggest you visit autolanka.com. I think you'll get a shock when you see the sort of cars available in that tiny south asian neighbour of ours.

IMC’s CEO, Pervez Ghias said that his company has not stopped talking about new products and is thinking of an alternate strategy for its small-car segment.
While on the subject, Mr. Ghias said that we are stuck with Coure and I am going to dialogue with Daihatsu for other products as part of our long-term strategy.
