spectra has given an informative detailed analysis of Ghandhara, but as far as my information is concerned, Shehzore was never assembled in Ghandhara's plant.
Hyundai first entered into an agreement with Sindh Engineering Limited for the assembly of Shehzore when it was initially launched. After the commissioning of Dewan's plant in Sujawal, Shehzore's assembly was transferred there.
Currently, LandRover Defender, Chervrolet Joy, and probably (not sure) Roma (FAW) van are being assembled there under contract assembly arrangements.
Ghandhara plans to start the local assembly of Sunny when the new generation is launched globally. However, in the face of the very welcome price war that is, hopefully, about to start after Lancer's reduction in prices, Nissan do need to reduce Sunny's prices in order to stay in competition.
Renault is also reportedly about to enter into a contract assembly arrangement with Ghandhara for introducing their Logan car. Renault plans to make Logan their highest selling car globally by introducing it in maximum number of markets. It is also going to be manufactured in Iran and India in our neighbourhood. However, in my view, it will take some time for Renault to establish its brand and rapport in the Pakistani market.
