Thumbs down Annoying Motorway Police LED lights

I have been driving on the highway since a long but a few recent tours really annoyed me and some members at Pakwheels who were with me during the trip. So the problem actually is with the Police LED Lights at the roof of the new Corolla provided to them, its so much bright and annoying that one gets blind enough to rip himself apart at a high speed. One thing more we noticed in these recent trips that they stand in the position of "One way" and turn on the High Beams at night along with those cheap bright Police LED's to make the upcoming driver totally blind
AND THAN THEY SAY "NO HIDS ON HIGHWAY"

    What steps should be taken?

Totally agree. I have stopped many times and told them how **** annoying their lights are and u know what they don't give a dam. I seriously think a comprehensive and organized campaign should b launched in this regard.

Even on my last trip to Multan I faced a lot of such annoying lights on the N5 highway and yes some serious action should be taken.

They should change the light or add a dimmer switch or a light diffuser kind of thing. Not sure about a lawyer or court but we Pakwheelers as an ensemble should start a campaign regarding it.

The point of the LED bars is that they are to be used in emergencies/pursuits so the traffic around can instantly be aware of the high output led lights. These lights are provided by a famous US based company who also supply to the PD in the US. However, they dont keep the lights on all the time blinding people.

What the motorway police should do is to either install a small emergency light which can still alert people of the presence of a cop car up ahead OR simply use the police lights in an emergency ( which is how these lights are supposed to be used on a cop car to catch people by surprise who are driving rashly/overspeeding etc).

The thing I really hate is the display patterns that the lights do, just like those old toy cars with the flickering/strobing/moving lights.

make a video of this act - supply it to media.

might as well stop and ask why - add some spice to it.

I travel on motorway once a week and at night, these new led's are very bright and literally blind you for a few seconds. But on the good side you can see them from a distance and know when to slow down.....
