Hi!
I am following the case for a TV channel I am working for. I have seen the CCTV camera footage of the accident taking place. It is a red coloured car, most probably Toyotta Corolla, but because of the speed, it is virtually impossibe to read the registration plate.
The number in the FIR has turned out to be bogus, but witnesses say it was either LER 6494 (which actually is registered to a motorcycle), or 6694, or LXG 6694, or something else.
The car came down from Cavalry Ground bridge, passed through the crossing, and was moving towards Defence when it hit the woman carrying her one-month old daughter in her lap.
If you come to know about an such car bearing tell-tale signs of an accident, with its windscreen damaged, do get back to me. It will be great service to that woman's family members, who are still waiting for any news on the baby.
Awais.
