Brother, I still find it wrong. The fact that NS people recommended this makes it even more wrong although it has not surprised me a bit. Everyone should get the fair returns they are entitled to, not a dime more, be it me, my father, aunt or anyone. We are talking about someone who owns 6 million which probably makes her richer than 98-99% of Pakistanis. If we are so sincere to her cause, we should be volunteering to help her out of our pockets and not recommend her to commit fraud at this age. Muradi, this is not directed at you but everyone else who is suggesting this. You only asked for suggestions here to help your aunt and I respect that.
National Savings scheme is an internal debt taken up by the government of Pakistan and its interest is paid by every tax payer of Pakistan and probably will be paid in part by the future generations as well. Helping her get more return in this case is like pulling out 2 pints of blood of some unsuspecting volunteer (current Pakistani tax payer who pays tax honestly) who barely has the capacity to give 1 pint. You are helping a needy with that blood which is noble, but the volunteer does not medically qualify to donate more blood right now. Best the healthy fat nurse (we all here) should volunteer first before we pull the 2nd pint out of the feeble volunteer without him knowing.
- I completely understood but its still illegal per law and akin to fraud.
- It is not like driving my father's car. It is probably similar to driving my father's 'government granted' car. I can afford a bike but I see my father's green plate car sitting idle at home and feel like taking it to the office as its hot out there. I drive it like a good citizen. I do not break any 'traffic laws' but it is still illegal under the penal code. The wear and tear costs as a result of my driving will be paid by Pakistan's tax payers. Would you ever like to pay for my 'fair usage' as a tax payer?
** I understand this post may hurt some emotions I couldn't find a better way to express this.
