dirt bikes were once imported frm kawasaki , honda , yamaha and suzuki and they were very popular at that time, means that people still have taste for them
but their engine shud me custom built means short gear ratios and quick acceleration needed in dirt bikes, not the same engine china is using in all the street bikes and rikshaws

Not many would be interested because the CD70 design is so much on the minds of people they will hardly accept anything different.

We always speak of a change.
And when that change occurs then we are not ready to accept it.

Many would want to buy them but none are available in the market, there are a very few imported ones, resultantly much costly as well. I think if trail bikes between 100 to 250cc are produced/assembled locally than it would not remain too expensive, allowing people to buy them in much greater numbers

I work only because it pays for three F's. Food for me, Fuel for my bike and Film for my camera.

Pakistani's love dirtbikes. The question is availability, high costs and high maintenance.

Yamaha Enduru and DTs, Honda XLs, Suzuki TS100 and above all Kawasaki KE175 were imported and marketed in Pakistan at affordable prices during 1978~1985.

These bikes used to dominate roads, which are now seen full of bikes with different brand names but same shape and 70cc engine.

Still now you can find groups of dirtbike riders during weekends on beaches.
I have learnt that I can always pray for someone when I don't have the strength to help him in some other way. Let's pray for the Mankind, Muslim Nation and our country Pakistan.

Do you still have that brother? Please share a picture here.

I remember the advertisement of Honda XL100 in 1980s-- bikers playing football.

    That is the main reason.

I was often told that my Mamoo used to have one in early 80,s which was sold later as he had to go abroad.
But if given the chance then I would certainly like to own one.

well, lilly though there is a small segment that will like dirt bikes
    but still they will like
bcoz in most of our cities there r shops that r rebuilding the old famous models like xl250, ke175, enduro etc etc
but its good if honda or yamaha do this but if someone else is planning to do this a few things must b noted like:
    wat about spare parts?
models will giv us opportunity 2 replace parts with other famous bikes etc etc
    n yes, i wld lov 2 hav 1
