the cuplrit could be sticky valves. Do you hear a faint click before the kick gets harder? if that is the case, its an indication that your valves are getting stuck leading to the loss of compression. Once released, they are seated back and compression is restored which allows the engine to fire. If your bike is under warranty, have it inspected by the company, if not, take the bike to the nearest Honda / 4 stroke mechanic to have the valves checked. I wont be surprised to recover worn out tension springs or valves hampering the smooth movement within the cylinder head.
Ignition system has nothing to do with compression loss. Failure of lubrication system will sieze the engine leading first to excessive heating, loss of power and finally a clanking sound before the engine dies.....
