    Question GD 110 Upgraded Model

I came to know by Suzuki Motors Head Office Karachi and than authorized suzuki dealers of Rawalpindi, Lahore and Multan , that Suzuki is launching New Updated model of GD with Electric start and Alloy rims.
They are planning to launch it on 31st October 2014.
So anyone in Karachi able to go there on launching ceremony and take pics of all available colours and share with all here on PW? Bcoz it is sure that Pak Suzuki will update the official web site very late

Bike looks good. At least we know have alloy wheels in a Pakistani bike. Previously only chonda's had. Suzuki had just given once in Sprinter and shogun, latter they removed for reasons best known to them.

By the way has suzuki worked on the fuel average too as people were not happy about it, specially considering sprinter gives a way better mileage than GD.

At least I consider they will be lighter and no more rust inside rim and no more puncture tubes due to rust. And it is possible now to have tubeless tyres.

Whatever the other pros are, my immediate liking for alloy rims is that they are easier to clean then that of spokes rims.

Alloys are beautiful and there alignment is absolutely perfect
and they are easier to keep clean no rust problem likes spokes & rim
and main advantage of them is tubeless tyres and main con is they are not
repairable once gets bent very hard to repair or unrepairable and their cost
is high as compare to rim

if suzuki is giving good quality alloys they won't went bent can bear tough beating
well only time will tell truth about their quality when new GD with alloys will roll on roads

I am not a professional nor even close to professional. But i think poke rims also absorb some vibrations and don't let the shocks only to absorb the vibrations. Well it's just my point of view. Beisde this our beautiful roads have many sudden jumps and other hurdles and breaking is not possible over all to protect your bike from sudden hit. In that case an alloy rim take that impact on itself and also pass them to the absorbers but we don't havr any mean to repair alloy rims beside this normal rim pokes their repairing cost 60 to 70 pkr for rim through. And 200 for poke change with good quality pokes. 600 for rim change. Drum cost around 900.( Considering junoon in my mimd).
