Babar sb,
I would firstly offer my personal apologies on behalf of the VWCOP (Karachi Chapter) for anything said or done which you felt was biased or insulting at the Port Grand Show earlier this year.
The truth is, we, as a club were invited as guests by the Port Grand management. And when one is a guest, one has to go by the host's rules. We were given the clear guideline that vehicles meeting a certain criteria, namely being in good overall condition, should be entered in that particular show. Space was a major limitation in the allowed area and the attending cars were to be displayed in an orderly planned manner. Thus we were compelled to allow entry to VWs which were pleasing to the general public's eye. However, I do not remember us having turned down any particular car on the day of that show as most, if not all cars had been invited beforehand after scrutiny based upon our knowledge.
As a club, we never have and never will discourage anyone who owns a VW to bring their vehicle into any of our gatherings, including this upcoming show. After all a diamond is a diamond whether its a cut and polished masterpiece or just a lump of black rock.
We believe that every VW lover, whether he/she owns a VW currently or not, is a source of strength for our Club and their participation in any of our events is an honor for us. So please feel free and welcome to join us on the 25th along with your VW.
