Default Buyer's Dilemma: Honda CG125 Deluxe, Suzuki GS150 and RP125

    Asalam O Alikum everyone,
I have seen quite a lot of forum posts here on PW about the best motorbike in Pakistan but really failed to get hold of the idea of it.

I owned a Honda Deluxe 2102 which was sold After a minor accident in September 2013. I loved the ride but the problem with it was the breaking in wet conditions and the plastic noises from the rear end.

Now after a while, I want to purchase a bike but the fight between the rivals is still there.

I am a student in Islamabad belonging to Azad Kashmir. Casual trips to the north, stability, durability, parts, maintainability, after sales service, build quality, fuel economy and my height (6'3") are my concerns. I know that all of these three bike are one of the least 'resale friendly' units.

I need an honest suggestion about these bikes, which to buy and where to buy in Islamabad. Awaiting replies. Thank you.

@omer85 Thank you for the quick reply. Actually I want advice from you. @vickytulla bhi told me to ask you.

I want to buy RP Storm 125 but I am worried about service. People say there are not mechanics, no parts. No one from ISB/RWP has replied that if anyone is available there or not. I am just thinking that. If there is a even one good mechanic in ISB. I will buy it.

Also: PW Messages are not working.

what about mechanics and maintenance condition in Islamabad ?

as for mechnics frankly I never went to some speciallised Paiggio mechnics most of the time CG emchnics did a better job in fine tuning my ride as they know how to tune a pushrod engine to high level!!

I could not find a better mechanic in RWP/ISB, and always get my bike tuned from authorized mechanic Usman Sheikh. Not Vry good, but not too bad. 50-50.
I had a very good mechanic Billa UStad but thn he left ISB in 2010....
Mechanics who tune Suzuki 150 can tune RP, recently Ravi has authorized a new person for Parts warranty claim n Service, situated at Banni Chowk RWP, Not visited that place yet though...

So you've read lots of posts on PKW and you're even more confused? Why I'm not surprised!!!
There is a saying in America:
"Opinions are like an @$$ Hole, everyone got one". (Mind my language!)
There's no better way to describe what I'm trying to tell you!
Some will recommend you Deluxe, some CG Classic, Storm, DYL Sports, GS150, Metro MR125, GD110, some CBR150R, Blah blah blah... You got the picture. See, everyone has got his own... Well... opinion!
There's yet another saying in America:
"GET WHAT YOU LIKE, NOT WHAT OTHERS LIKE".
So... What I'm trying to say is basically this: Get off your computer... Test ride each and every option available and choose the one you likes the best and fits in your budget.
ITS YOUR HARD EARNED CASH, MY FRIEND. DON'T LET OTHERS GAMBLE WITH IT. ITS YOUR GAME, NOT THEIRS.
    Hope you understand.

@k-four-nine You are implying that its useless to post here..The op should have thinked twice prior to posting in this section.People gave their advice because he asked for it.We are not gambling,it its the op's delay in purchase..

I came here specifically for buying my first ride,,limited down my category to 100cc,,CD-100 got the highest response and went with it..I had cash in pocket just needed final verdict..So stop blaming us for OP inability to buy or confused state whichever it it.We are not to blame..
So stop playing pingpong in the forums.

@ Op its time for you to finalize your choice and lock the thread.

You got me wrong, my friend. I just meant that one shouldn't solely rely on opinions from strangers. Do your own research too. Afterall, its your money on the line. Hope I've cleared my point.
My friend bought a "certain popular 125cc bike" (I WON'T MENTION ITS NAME) after he read tons of forums and articles all over the internet. But ended up regretting it later. Sold the 100k bike he had bought for just 45K. Quite a huge loss. Now he's broke and rides a Chonda 70cc. And I feel really bad about him as he was saving up for a nice bike for years...
