    Hello guys with the grace of Almighty Allah i have bought honda cg125 dream its used bike
    i have already mentioned about this purchase in pw fellow "Farhansa's" thread
    i had planned to purchase 125 dream as it was launched but was unable to purchase as
    i was confused visor noise issue disappointed me in the end simply i was unable to
    purchase it but now recently i heard of its poor resale value so decided to buy it and
    luckily i found one cg dream too i was more interested to buy black but looking at condition
    of bike i decided to go for it and i am happy with my purchase i was considering to buy cg classic
    too it was an option too as personally i have not kept cg classic wanted to test and keep it but
    i rejected it and chose to buy cg dream as cg's uncomfortable drive could have troubled me alot
    i travel good on bike very often go to my village which is 70km away from my city. i have not
    personally kept cg classic but have driven of my friend its seat is very hard and bike is known for
    uncomfortable drive so in the end decided to buy new face of it cg dream i have tested 70cc,100cc
    5 gear 125cc and now 4 gear 125cc cg classic and cg dream both having same engine

    Atlas CG Dream: I have already talked about its style and looks already in this my thread i was highly
    Honda CG125 Dream - First Impressions
    inspired by its looks no doubt its attractive looking bike but at that time i had no riding experience of
    125 dream.People say its small bike and include myself too in that list too i also felt its small bike specially
    from rear and also when ever i saw it passing on roads but when i have purchased it and its all the time
    infront of my eyes its no way small the bike feels heavy in looks and while driving its like driving big bike as deluxe
    fuel tank is very good design driving position is good seat is soft and comfortable and pillion rider sits high
    sitting as pillion is good feeling way better than cg classic and as mentioned don't get misguided by your eyes
    it may look small but sitting on bike tells real story pleasure of riding.

    CG Classic & CG Dream both having same frame and same tyres but many things are changed that changes feeling
    of riding too cg dream has different riding experience as compare to cg classic

    The suspension in CG Dream is very good if i compare it with all atlas honda bikes they are the best in performance
    comparing performance of both front & rear with other ahl bikes both shocks performance. Deluxe has very good front
    shocks but rear one's are too tight for light weight person even at lowest settings they are hard and comparing to pridor
    its rear shocks are too soft fails to work with weight more than 160kg on bike and its front are good but not as good as
    cg dream they are hard too cg classic front shocks makes noise and are uncomfortable as par my experience on friend's cg
    its rear are good but can prove hard for light weight person. CG Dream front shocks are right soft absorbs jerks very nicely
    and rear one's with low wight when driving single feel good but with weight they become hard they work very good pillion rider
    might feel them hard but rider has great experience bike does not lower even when heavy pillion sitting it gives good feeling
    no jerks from rear shocks you are good at bad roads speed breakers overall suspension in this atlas honda bike is very good
    UPDATE: I must update this regarding performance of cg dream rear suspension i posted this thread quickly after buying
    bike now as i have spent more time on bike recently i happened to sit on bike as pillion rider on bad road with many bad spots i
    definitely did not enjoy its ride suspension is good at speed breakers but its hard on bad roads you are not in comfort
    when sitting as pillion rider rear shocks are hard they are good to absorb slight jerks but on bad roads experience is not good
    i am taking my words back which i said above on cg dream suspension that cg dream has best shocks in atlas honda bikes In rear
    suspension my vote still goes to CD70 it has good shocks absorbers they are better than deluxe,pridor & cg dreams shocks
    i am heavy body yet i feel its suspension hard & tough imagine if light weight person sits on bike as pillion i am disappointed with
    cg dream rear suspension when you are riding bike it has good feel but pillion is not in comfort however its front shocks are very good

    CG Dream is having same OHV 4 Gear engine acceleration and response of bike is very good i am having great feeling specially
    as i have upgraded from 70cc to 125cc
    . One thing has greatly surprised coming to performance of bike we know
    CG Dream has same frame & same ohv engine i have experience 2011 model cg and have driven few times euro 2 cg too and
    i have driven 2011 non euro cg at 100km/h the bike had serious vibration my feets were almost slipping from foot rest and bike
    did not feel in control but this is not case with cg dream i drove it on 100km/h with one hand and my friend drove it at 110km/h
    with one hand recorded video too the bike feels very much in control obviously engine screams at this speed but bike is very much
    in control very good grip and there is slight vibration in feet its not troubling i personally give concentration on vibration
    in feet till 100km/h honestly slight vibration the feeling is obviously not smooth at this speed as ohv engine screams noisy muffler
    and there is vibration in handle of bike which is notable even at lower speeds too which i was not expecting in cg dream
    as bike has complete new front so unexpected happened what was expected too much vibrations in feet i am surprised no terrible
    vibration there is some vibration but its slight and its in right foot rest

    The Gear shifts are not smooth when you shift 1st gear and leave clutch you listen kir kir khe sound can be felt in 2nd gear too but
    mostly its in first gear if you get use to of driving it you can avoid sound if you adjust to this engine else its in flaw
    I have not faced any knocking so far in engine so its knocking free earlier cg engines had knocking issue

    The bike touches 100km/h almost every time & top speed with slight hand down took it to 115km/h i weigh these days 116kg's
    these figures are obviously very good for this bike i tested accuracy with gps application in mobile at speed 60,80 & 90 the error came of 4-5km/h unfortunately have not been able to test its top speed with this app


    Adding Photo From Atlas Honda Site CG Dream Features Changes Done

    All changes are impressive to give bike complete new modern fresh look and its nice
    handle lock in ignition like deluxe & pridor also given too

    Headlight has good focus light is good on road

    But Atlas Honda messed up in visor fitting and its an shame how come they are allowing bike
    from factory going for sale with noisy visor brand new zero meter cg dream's visor makes
    noise with throttle even if bikes standing still and its really frustrating and embarrassing. Even
    while cleaning headlight you listen plastic noises which gives really cheap feeling

    Update: Atlas Honda has also messed up with seat cowl fitting it also makes noise. Noise is clearly
    noticeable such noise from brand bike is really frustrating a fellow pakwheelers had also complained
    about this issue but this was not found in cg dream of fellow Farhansa & Turab like visor noise its present
    in all cg dream's but i guess definitely Atlas has messed here too recently i noticed noise from rear cowl
    some times its listenable and some time noise vanished you can clearly listen noise when sitting as pillion
    also noticeable when driving alone too



    CONS

    *Noisy Visor
    *Noisy Gear Box
    *Noisy Rear Cowl
    *Vibration In Handle
    *Sporty Seat Bar: is good looking but its not convenient for lifting bike its strong but when lift bike
    with hand you feel pain in hand there surface underneath it should have been without edges
    *Brakes: are not effective to stop bike immediately front is good but rear one is not good this makes
    cg125 dangerous it has powerful engine and very good acceleration but poor brakes can take you to
    trouble easily

    CONS (Update)

    *Tappet Cover Oil Seepage
    *Oil Leakge From Tachometer Cable

    Updating for two cons and faults i have found in cg in engine and i think its common error in almost
    all cg125 engines for the first tappet cover oil stains now either its flaw by atlas honda or its because
    of improper method of mechanics after the first tuning i always see oil stains on tappet cover i clean
    after a day or two day running they again appear so you have to clean it else they will be there other
    major flaw you will find in most cg's is oil leakage tachometer cable in my case i have already told in
    detail its been really frustrated issue for me you can find links in first post

    Some words on issue told in first list of CONS

    Noisy Visor issue has been sorted out by atlas honda i have asked 3-4 guys who bought brand new cg dream
    they said no issue of noisy visor though it frustrated me alot i have gotten rid of it by using rubber

    Noisy Gearbox issue is there present and Noisy Cowl in my case present though not many complained of it
    but i personally there is need of improvement there too hope atlas has done some thing

    Vibration In Handle this is not serious there was some vibration, Now its not annoying almost gone from bike
    after tightening of bolts

    FINAL THOUGHTS CG DREAM:

    I will start with the major problems that have been found in new cg dream after installation of new
    parts to change its looks and those are no 1 is noisy visor its really frustrating embarrassing i feel sorry
    for cg dream owners who spent money on brand new bike and its visor making noise from day 1 bike bought
    from showroom and 2 problem i found its rear seat cowl also makes noise now such noises should have not
    been present in bike else other common issues that are found in cg classic engine those are also present in bike
    as bike has same engine,frame & same tyres same brakes.

    Now coming to its good despite those issues which really should have not been present in bike still all new look feels good
    and new suspension new seat and new parts makes riding pleasure driving position is good & bike is comfortable to drive
    it does not tire you bike is good for long drives road grip is very good even with heavy weight you can take turns easily
    bike does not shake on high speeds its stable vibrations are there in bike handle & foot rests but they are not troubling
    new sporty seat is soft and comfortable to sit front shocks are very good rear are tough but like atlas honda bikes cg & deluxe
    i think same mistake done in cg dream i don't have best experience of cg classic rear shocks i can say from deluxe it has tough
    rear shocks overall cg dream like all atlas honda bike has some issues but still overall good bike gives better driving experience
    and feel as compare to cg classic and price difference is not much its available just 3k more than cg classic so its good to have
    changed new shape bike we are not expecting new latest engines from atlas honda so atleast good to have changes in years old
    bike but those noises from parts should not be present in bike that shows poor work atlas did good work in case of CD100 to Pridor

    In the End i highly recommend atlas honda kindly do remove those noises from visor and rear cowl alteast from upcoming cg dreams that are being manufactured in your factory as with such noises its flop bike and people would not take interest in cg dream

    Default Really Frustrated With Atlas Honda

    This is post is related with my oil leakage issue from tachometer cable you can find link in
    first post of this thread - Oil Leakage From Tachometer Cable

    I am very frustrated
    even after honda mechanic opened clutch cover and replaced seal still
    oil is leaking i contact him again he said oil should not leak i told him its leaking and why he
    said then this could be because of faulty tachometer driver gear which is installed in clutch
    which basically rotates and rotates cable seal is installed on this gear but as seal is replaced
    now there might be PLAY in drive gear so will have to replace that as well he said me to purchase
    it and will have to again open clutch cover and replace this

    I went to market searched for genuine Tachometer drive its not available i have contacted atlas exclusive
    parts dealers but its not available contact sukkur & hyderabad & dadu but its not available anywhere only
    chinese made are available which i don't want to install but after getting no from everywhere i might end up
    installing chinese one or just ignore this issue

    I am really surprised at Atlas Honda after sales service they have the biggest dealers network
    i have always complain with atlas regarding minor parts which are important but are not available
    like some crucial rubbers and washers etc but this is very common part of cg125 and is not available
    cg125 is in market for decades more the plug that comes installed in cg125 is also not available in
    market

    sir! rpm ki cable jahan s leakge hoti us k bahir black colour ki (coz u have a black clutch side) silicon lga k daikho. seal the whole thing properly. from top to bottom. than observe. hopefully it should work.

    It Was C7HSA Available Which Comes Fitted In CD70. Its Shameful Such An Important Item Is Not Available

    Well I Have Done What Maximum I Can Do,
    I Have Registered My Complain I Had Called Atlas Honda And
    Have Told Them My Feedback And Have Recommended Them To Make These Parts Available At Their Dealers

    Ohh you also facing same issue bro this issue has been the most frustrating
    issue so far for me at i have gotten replaced seal three times two times as trick
    a mechanic said i can replace seal without opening clutch cover after reclament
    it worked for few thousand km but again it leaked again went to mechanic he replaced
    seal it worked only for few hundred km' again started to leak oil 3rd time as recommended
    honda mechanic went to him he opened clutch cover replaced seal but it worked for few km's
    only

    This is common issue with cg125 engine Oil Seepage From Tachometer Cable

    Mueen bhai ignore it just clean it after 2 to 3 days
    i have myself convinced myself for this too as honda mechanic was unable to solve issue
    now he has said it could be leaking because of tachometer drive which is in clutch cover
    i searched in market for atlas honda genuine tachometer drive but its not available have
    contacted exclusive atlas spare parts dealer in different cities but unfortunately its not available
    anywhere only chinese one are available which i don't want to install in my bike
    Tachometer drive is same like meter gerrari that spins in hub and rotates cable which gives reading

    even though this oil leakage issue frustrate me alot but i am trying to convince myself
    living with this issue and i am getting use to it

    Amjad bhai i was expecting the same answer as u ve given i m so thank full to u u r a nice person i do like your posts as it has given to me so many useful information about bikes i realy appreciate it i m going to buy another bike for my daily work which is about 40 50 km daily so suggest the another bike for me economical and powerful suspension wise

    Default Installed LED Backlight In Meter

    Recently i found out led's are available in market which can easily be installed direct
    without any cutting of wire so i bought and installed them in my cg dream meter glow

    i had these installed in my cg classic 14. but that only has on bulb fitting i think. it looked great but not as this. this looks awesome. red glowing needles would be out class <3

    Default CG Dream Fuel Average

    Recently have been working on finding the best mixture settings for my cg dream
    i am very happy with recent mixture settings done by me i am noticing clear difference
    in fuel average did two tests

    1st Test while coming back from village i filled 3 liter patrol turn the fuel knob to reserve in
    reserve cg dream saves 2 liter of patrol

    Results came out as 53km/lt at constant speed of 60km/h

    2nd Test did in city driving

    Results came out as 41km/lt speed 0 to max 45km/h avoided quick accelerations


    I am very happy with these results its excellent fuel average by cg dream and specially
    considering these days i have gained alot of weight my weight is around 130kg

    Default CG Dream average

    My dream doing 46 - 48 in city @ 60 - 110kmph
    While it achieved 58 when drove below 50kmph.

    sir your cg dream is giving excellent fuel average and yes 58km/lt is possible to get from cg dream

    Amjad bhai do you not think that a difference of 12kms is high as compared to the long route driving. Also please share your working regarding fuel mixture settings on your CG Dream it will be helpful for all of us.

    Racer bhai in city cg drinks patrol and others bikes as well also drinks patrol
    i live in city where i think clutch is engaged alot of times as city does not have
    long distance wide roads. Speaking particularly for cg engine in city it gets hot
    and drinks patrol so if you are driving in dense traffic it will drink good patrol
    Racer bhai before mixture adjustment i was getting 33km/lt max 35km/lt
    after now recent adjustment its very good improvement

    Racer bhai mechanic had set mixture at 2.60 turns it was giving average of 33
    then i had set the average to 2 turn average went down to 30km/lt then tried
    3 turns i was not satisfied average was not good even on highway the final setting
    i done is currently on bike is around 2.15 to 2.20 turns and i have gotten very good
    on highway at speed 60km/h which is good speed got 53km/lt then tested average
    in city and there is also improvement got 41km/lt

    checking patrol average regularly is not easy but from some time i was not satisfied
    with average so from a month where i ever i got chance was keeping eye on average
    and Alhamdulillah finally good settings is done

    Default Issues In CG125 Dream

    CONS (Update)

    *Tappet Cover Oil Seepage
    *Oil Leakge From Tachometer Cable

    Updating for two cons and faults i have found in cg in engine and i think its common error in almost
    all cg125 engines for the first tappet cover oil stains now either its flaw by atlas honda or its because
    of improper method of mechanics after the first tuning i always see oil stains on tappet cover i clean
    after a day or two day running they again appear so you have to clean it else they will be there other
    major flaw you will find in most cg's is oil leakage tachometer cable in my case i have already told in
    detail its been really frustrated issue for me you can find links in first post

    Some words on issue mentioned in first list of CONS

    Noisy Visor issue has been sorted out by atlas honda i have asked 3-4 guys who bought brand new cg dream
    they said no issue of noisy visor though it frustrated me alot i have gotten rid of it by using rubber

    Noisy Gearbox issue is there present and Noisy Cowl in my case present though not many complained of it
    but i personally there is need of improvement there too hope atlas has done some thing

    Vibration In Handle this is not serious there was some vibration, Now its not annoying almost gone from bike
    after tightening of bolts

    For tappet cover replace it's rubber challa (shown below) with genuine original and when installing it inside the grooved path keep it a lit bit afloat. Don't completely press it in. So when you will be installing back the cover it would be a little bit utha hua and than tighten the 3 bolts of the tappet cover. Hopefully oil seepage would stop.

    As far as the rpm cable is concerned changing that rubber washel from the inside should solve the issue but since you have tried in various times changing the mechanic seems to be the solution because clearly ustad g is not doing properly.
