    Default Need CD70 Service manual

    AOA everyone,

I'm working with a honda cd70 engine on some university project. I have some issues with the wiring so i need a wiring diagram or a manual to help me out. If anyone has it for the 12v cdi model, please share.

I might be converting the engine to efi with a kit. will share the details later on

The one i have is good upto 125cc as is. For more displacement you may or may not need to change the throttle body, injector and fuel pump.

You tell the manufacturer about your engine and they send you the matching parts.

The kit is very easy to install. It takes a signal from the blue wire that goes to cdi (pickup coil wire) and a switched positive. Everything else is separate from the old wiring.

Yes as it should just know when piston us at TDC of intake stroke so to start injecting fuel for required duration.

Would it require adjusting for longer or shorter stroke?
Seems interesting.. But exorbitantly expensive.. Why are you doing it? Any specific reason?

^^ I seriously doubt that this kit is taking feedback from cdi to check piston position to inject fuel cdi on cd70 and replica are blind spark plug fires every time piston reach top regardless of compression stroke or exhaust stock

we are going to a fuel economy competition , plus, the experience might help me if i decide to go for formula student.

it can be adjusted for different engines

it really should not need to care about the stroke. you just tell it the angle between TDC and the location of the pickup coil. It knows how far it is from tdc and can then decide when to give spark or inject fuel.

The kit comes with its own ignition control system too. I have not wired that up yet, because i need to understand the software first

    Agreed
How can cdi tells the position of the piston I think it gets signal from the pulser connected to magnet plate.
