    Default Urgent:Gear Box Noise fromSantro

    AOA to all Members

I have Santro 2002, when the car crosses 45 Km/h a strange kind of noise (Goong in urdu) starts coming from Gear box which keeps on increasing as the car acclerates. I took the car to Mechanic, he added treatment oil(Thicker approx. 8 Liter) but the problem is not solved yet. Mechanic told me that this is the last resort, next to that will be replacement of Gear Box.

I need the expert advice to get the problem fixed. I would also like to know the price of new and used gear box and the availability in ISL/RWP region.

    Best Regards

    Ehtisham

Does that sound comes in only fifth gear or in others as well?
