Default Self Tuning - Khyber G-10 (Plugs, valve clearance, spark gap etc)

    Salam

    dear members/experts

I own a khyber 1996. Recently overhauled its engine completely at home by myself except the mechanist part. It has its first oil change at 1100Km yesterday and i am planning to tune it. I have following query for the learned members/experts

Q.1. recommended spark plugs for khyber g-10 on CNG
    Q.2. Recommended spark plug gap?
    Q.3. Recommended tappet setting Hot/cold?
Q.4. Running was on petrol with Caltex Havoline formula and now i have switched to CNG with Shell helix HX7 10-40W (synthetic) , is shell HX7 ok?

What else should i do or check to get max output and efficiency from my g-10?

    regards

after-note: In addition to the above queries, this thread also contains info on carburetor, AC, electrical, cooling system, brakes & gear issues related to khyber G-10.

Special thanks to following experts :
Xulfiqar, Fas133, Margallar, Ahsanzs, wasay_Ahmad, Xplorer, jz, Daniyal
for their valuable contributions and last but not least
I am greatful to Cracked for keeping this thread alive by
    raising all the queries/question.

@cracked if i remember correctly you are using gti speedometer. What changes did you make to the rpm gauge so it shows correct rpm for your 3 cyl khyber as its made for the 4 cyl engine.

I would suggest 165/65 R13, any thing above will not be suitable

@smijaz the carb kit has jets 105, 100 and 40 whereas in your previous post you wrote 105, 95 and 48. Should i get the ones you mentioned or stick with those in the kit?

What are numbers on the jet currently in your carb?

OK then keep the ones you got from the kit. When you open the carb if the primary is 95 then just clean and refix the same. If its also 100 then replace it. Replace the main idle jet with new one.

It worked just ok. But now after flush, it works too good.

If you use water, then be prepared to fix leakages.

Update: I kept heater on while flushing.

its running as it is.the readings are faulty :p the RPM is under stated and speed is over stated because the stock size of tires was 13 and i have 12s. .. .. . but ive got used to it

Ok. So the heater won't let water pass if its closed? i.e if the lever on the panel is set to cool.

No. Coolant flow in the heater coil is not effected by moving lever to hot or cool. Flush the heating coil with help of tap water only meaning put the household water hose on one end of the heating coil and water start coming out of the other side. Check for leaks inside the cabin and if none , you are good to connect your heater.

Ok. Thanks for clearing it out. One pipe is cold and the other is warm so it means that there is some blockage. Do mechanics do anything to block the heater core? If its not rust then some smart mech may have done something......like the time i found out there was no thermostat in my khyber.

Check if its blocked or just air locked. Try the flush method in my last post
