Presoak will help. Better have piece of cloth, shampoo and get to work by hand. May take hours to shine it.
B careful with electric connections, use dry cloth

    Pre-soak is actually a cleaner
Make a solution in a spray bottle (use shampoo and water) spray it on the areas you wish to clean and then scrub it using paintbrush/tooth brush then carefully rinse the area using either a spray bottle or a normal bottle
Cover the alternator(generator) and any other electric component with plastic bags

Default about cleaning of the engine

Dear i also have a suzuki liana 2006 model and i cleaned its engine after 7 years of buying and ultimate use !!! . It is not such a big deal just requires some of your personal time and care. but dont throw direct water on the coils area . Use tooth brush , clean cloth and sprayer to spray the water .

You need a good quality Engine degreaser. No need for presoak. Just spray thoroughly on a lukewarm engine and leave it for 5-10 minutes. Wash thoroughly with mildly mixed wax wash solution, will remove all the grime like it never existed. Here's a pic of my engine bay after doing the above

The Engine degreaser from STP shouldn't cost more than 500/-

I regularly spray it whenever i'm about to wash the car. Just spray on a lukewarm engine, leave it for 5 mins, then wash with water.

I never used oil sprays or diesel spray undercarriage or anywhere else in the car. I merely used the engine degreaser here, this was taken after spraying the engine degreaser, it gives that shiny look, it evaporates within 5-10 minutes, and after you rinse it thoroughly with water, it gives a fresh & clean look.

I'm a cleanliness freak when it comes to keeping the car clean, so I've got some products that I use regularly to maintain the car in optimal condition. My previous ride (Esse) was in even better condition, which I sold to a client few months ago.

The car came with FF CNG Kit, which I completely removed and sold it as I never drive it on CNG. It gives me good mileage on petrol as it is (approximately 13-14KM/L), so I got rid of it.

It took me a couple of hours. Most of the wiring was "cut" at a certain point and rolled up in protective sleeve to prevent exposure to water. Rest of the stuff (cylinder, kit, tubes etc) came off quite easily. I sold the kit plus cylinder for 19k.
