Well he had not touched the engine according to him and his mods were not that many either. He was trying to get the warranty to pay but Mitsu NA have strict no mod policy and that is why he lost and has to pay for all the repairs.
@levinAs for your question, what state, it is Jersey!
say racer bhai what happened ?
This the Connecting Rod bolt from the #1 piston and this actually came loose and casued all this damage. The heard a clicking noise on lower speeds at 10% throttle but it would go away at higher throttle, so he kept pushing the car for 60 so miles and all of a sudden the car came to a halt and engine died.
damn one nut caused all of that destruction
so my assumption,, something left loose is the correct answer??
A single nut.....yaar....what can i say...the whole destruction is caused due to this.....:@....does he chnages the internal in mods and also changes the connecting rods and piston or it was all genuine......if its all genuine...i think it was very sad.....Mitsubishi won't do things like that...a connecting rod nut...how can it get loose....maybe their is assembling fault....what badluck he gots...a single nut do that all :(......this tell us never rev engine when you listen something from engine.....it may cause serious destruction like this....connecting rods are broked like someone hitted them with 1ton hammer.....yeah rev engine and getting broke up let more than this....strange thing i seen..none of the valves strike with piston passing out...but there is a brakeup in no 3 and 4 i think...he was a unlucky guy..i think he finishes up buying new motor...Thanxxxx
thats more than enough to f*** a evo
@levinit was not left loose, it slipped!
@SERek machar sala admee ko hijrah banh detha hai and ek nut engine ko dabah kar detha hai
@KKPls mind your language, you are not at all cool use those words :[
To be honest i do not think this guy is telling us the whole story, or he is hiding things.
slipped means what? mutshi didnt do the job right? putting engine together?by loose i meant, someone later on fiddled with the engine and left a not properly tighten nut. in reality this happens,, i have nuts checked a few times after weeks to makesure vibrations didnt loose anything.
@LevinBy slipped I mean the threads could not hold the nut and bolt togather and one gave way to the other. Could have been Mitsu defect or could have been tempered with.
@racer bhai could there be a crack ???
@khanif it was a crack the bolts would have still been attached to the crank, and this is not the case.
mm then most probaly a fitting default i think
@Khancould be or like i said maybe he did modify it and removed modifications.
hello!yeah racer and levin bhai thats what i am tying to say...maybe he done the job on internals and he left it loose or not well tightened.....i think Evo was the upper class car and mitsubishi can't make mistakes like that.....this engine must be checked by company securly before selling it out......there must be some inside story...Thanxxx
surprising to see an evo with such minor mods konking out. Usually it's imprezas which blow up due to excessive heat on the rear cylinder banks.
Poor guy.
@Stormhe has to swallow a $20,000 bill! I bet you he will be poor after this, lol!
@racerLOL!!! no doubt bro:)
