Ok so I have a NZE 141, its JDM corolla axio.
But I am quite sure the corolla altis (USDM) and JDM corolla underbody and OEM exhaust system is exact match.
I have recently bought a muffler and i dont know and i am unsure if i will be able to fix it replacing my stock one.
I am posting some pics to made it clear to understand the problem that i am facing and the solution that i may require.
from FIG 1: ---->>>
Is the picture of the corolla under body.
The part "C" is place where this pipe is welded towards the OEM muffler box. And also if you notice its slightly positioned towards the left side.
That pipe is also attached with nuts and bolts with "B' as shown in the diagram
from FIG 2--->>?
This is the picture of my Muffler that i bought, as you can see the 'inlet' pipe is welded and positioned in the 'middle' compared to the stock one where its to the left.
So my questions are-->>
1) Will i be able to position/weld my aftermarket muffler by cutting off the stock pipe at near part "C'' ?, since the pipe is slighly towards the left I am confused how i wud manage to fix it there.
2)Should I be able to slightly tilt my aftermarket muffler towards the left so that the inlet can be welded with the stock pipe?
3) Or should i get something like this to modify so that the stock pipe and inlet are properly aligned together?
