Last week I had my Passo's oil filter changed after driving 4K (LM 5/40) while still using the same engine oil.
At the same day, in after noon time, a guy came to us to change oil for Vitz and he was regularly using Guard's filters.
From the garbage, I recovered "Guard's oil filter" and compared it with Leppon's filter which came out from my car.
I couldn't took the pictures because my hands were pretty dirty with oil.
I opened the both filters to see the difference and was surprised with the rough quality paper of guard's filter. The filter paper was very thin, had hard feel and surface was very rough. By applying little force on the filter's edges, it easily compressed inwards. Lets say totally Rubbish.
Whereas the filter paper of Leppon's filter was soft, thick and I can see it in various "plies". By applying force on its edges, the filter was still in its shape and was not strong enough to hold.
I was for sure that I can still run this leppon's oil filter for 2~3K for sure. But I changed it for better performance.
Whereas, Guard's filter was changed only after 3K and it has lost even its original shape.
Price of Guard's oil filter (for vitz) is Rs. 250~260/-
Price of Leppon's oil filter (for vitz) is Rs. 350.
Only a difference of 100 rupee, but huge difference in performance.
(its not only guards filter for vitz, but i think all of their filters have same level of quality).
