a friend of mine has installed a new component in his corolla xli and the brakes are working perfect and he has spent only 4000 rs only i think its a good deal???
wat commponentis it ABS
was it a magic wand?
at least tell us what the component was...
yaar it a T shape component .the mechanics call it just t.but the breaks are working perfectly fine
he may installed hand brakes instead of padel one:d
i hope it isn't something which joins the brake lines in a way which equalises the brake fluid pressure to all wheels or something... or is it?
@admiredone
I thought you were civic 2005 expert .... your knowledege of corollas is equally good
@Storm: Dude, is there anything about cars that you dont know? Man you are good!
@phantomwarrior: LOL
can you give us more details abt the mechanic or the componenet
He is referring to the brake proportioning valve. Also called 'T' among local mechanics
@Storm bahiya its , that flintstones car's breaking mechanism, 4000 rs for an opening under the foot ......... YABBAAA-DAAABAAAA-DOOOOOOOOOOOO
I once read about this break proportioning valve but the article i read stated that it is usefull in cars with front disc brakes and rear drum brakes.
more info please.
@storm
i think this could be some kind of proportionating valve... but i think the car must already be having one... what kinda custom valve could that be?? :S
Proportionating Valve used to be a problem in some of the E100 corollas as well but i doubt it can solve the problem in case of this new one (E120)
do u guys think the company would make the whole brand suffer just because of a faulty T and not rectify it :Shard to believe untill first hand experience is dont by some reliable member
@hash4uI have also changed the T in my car. it does help and the cost wasnt 4000rs it was more like 1250rs and till date its working fine. and it does not make the brakes perfect but still way way better than what they were earlier
Before this the brake fluid did not even reach the rear brakes. it was so pathetic the car used to skid from the front and tailing from the back
@ skullbox.yes the same thing my friend told me but he changed t with d-shape corolla.and the whole piping for brake fluid is also changed for back wheels.hav u changed the rear wheel pipings????and which model t hav u fitted in ur car.bye
Same old problem from EE90 days
