    Default CONFUSED: CAR or JEEP

    Dear Friends,
    I AM CONFUSED
I own Daihatsu Charade G-100 (87 quota 94), 1000 CC, 5 speed forward manual transmission, CNG, A/c. Engine is very smooth and fine. Car is immaculate, single owner driven (by my uncle), interior is 100% original, GTxx bucket seats, central locking, rpm, etc, means a very great ride

However, I am fascinated by Pajero Junior as I am fond of touring and travelling. I want to ask all buddies and experts at Pakwheels, which ride is better? Is it wise to sell such immaculate charade and go for a Pajero Jr? I mean, to replace a 4-door 1000 cc car with a 2-door 1100 cc jeep? I need very frank and general comments please, because this may be a hot question for many guys owning a car and planning to go for a jeep and vice versa... a comparison of + points and -ive points that i know is as below:

    Car:
    + 4 door,
+ 1000 cc, Problem less CNG, Manual Transmission
    + Car suspension comfort,
    + passenger capacity:5
+ smooth upto 100 km/h @ engine RPM: 3.2 ideal for long travels

    - year of manufacturing (87 quota 94)
    - car limitations (delicacy, road clearance, 2wd)

    Jeep (Pajero Jr.).:
+ Jeep perviliges (tough, road clearance high, option 4wd)
+ Newer year of manufacturing (96 or later, low milage)
    + Newer and stronger engine
+ powered (steering, windows, mirrors etc)
    + ABS
    + EFI

    - 2 door
    - 1100 cc jeep (high fuel consumption), reported problems on CNG
    - passenger capacity: 4

please add any + or - points in both cases.
waiting anxiously for replies from car gurus

bro if u want a vehicle for the city than car will be the best option for you. i Think your current car is old and i will advise you to get the junior. i personally have pajero 1990 it has high fuel consumption but man nothing can replace that beast i loved it until i was in Pakistan. if you love traveling jeep is the way to go because most of the times u will go through rough roads and terrains. wait for other responses i do not know the cost of pajero junior.

jeep is good but back seat passenger would not be comfortable. and front are luxury
Jeep is little expensive on daily uses rather then car.

What does Sanjay Manjeraker in your profile pic tell you?

On a serious note, if you would've mentioned a Mini Pajero, my opinion would've been different.

But since you're asking about Pajero Junior - it definitely is fun to drive. Plus the added advantage of road clearance as you mentioned in your post, not to forget the newer model, engine, suspensions etc etc. In short, you've mentioned it all.

I say go for the Junior.

I hope you are aware that there's a noticeable price difference between the two.
