I am buying a suzuki alto 0 metre
please tell me something about the car
1.Good points
2.Bad points
and i am buying it on petrol and it will remain on petrol
please give me your sincere advice

Negatives :
1- Zero road grip
2- Jumpy ride (not bumpy - jumpy ... as in you're in a jhoola all the time)
3- Slow at acceleration (in comparison to its counterparts)
4- Carby Engine
5- Not excellent fuel economy

Positives :
1- High ground clearance
2- Easy availability of parts and mechanics
3- AC is better than most of its competitors
4- Its a damn suzuki, you'll sell it for twice the money after 3 years.

If Cultus and Alto have a 50,000/= rupee difference, go buy Cultus, im sorry to say this but i hate the drive of Alto :S

Bro Alto is a very nice and comfortable car with very good fuel economy.

Bro i suggest you to buy a slightly used alto because 0 meter alto ky sath registration, alloys ETC ka kharcha daal ky bohat zyada ho jata hy.

u can also consoder santro if u want to drive on petrol.alto is substandard in front of santro. but resale issue is still there. if u have to keep it for long inshallah u will enjoy santro

i own an alto for three years and now gonna get a civic but i will be missing this pretty car for rest of my life. This is what may explain pleasure of having an alto.

i've kept alto for about 2 years. I've also kept cultus, mehran, cuore and santro. Amongst its competitors, Joy, Cuore, Mehran, Santro... this car is most comfortable.. and believe you me, its road grip is much better than all of its rivals.. its AC is much much better than any other 1000cc car available locally, including cultus. Fuel economy is almost the same as cultus on petrol (19/20 se ziada ka faraq nai he) and on cng it gives same mileage as cultus.

Negatives: its front seats has little lesser leg room compared to cuore and cultus. Its steering is heavier compared to cultus.
Leg room wont matter much if you drive mostly with just front seats occupied as u can push ur seat back. and for steering, one can install a japanese alto's power steering in it, it'll be a bolt on fitting.

Sir Alto is a nice car, suitable for Pakistani road conditions.

Easy to maintain and a good resale value.

I advise to go for a 30-35K Km used Alto of 2005-06 for 400-450K Rs instead of a new one.

On Petrol it will not give you more then 12km with A/c in city (Karachi), benefits are that its engine and suspensions will remain good for many years and you will get a respectable boot space.

You should also consider the Japanese Alto, most of the parts are interchangeable and it has very good features and build quality.

i bought a zero meter alto in january 07 and sold it in july 07 after driving it for like 17000 km....personally i wont say its too bad a car, but on petrol its economy is horrible...braking is not too much of a problem. its AC is below par (still better than a cultus which litereally sux)...it has an excellent ground clearance and the build quality is better than mehran and cultus somehow...however, i wud still say that Santro is a far better choice than an alto with excellent road grip and by far the best AC in small cars. its performance both on petrol and on CNG exceeds alto by miles. so if i were u, i wud go for a santro

Dont believe on rumours just buy alto you will love this car drive.
Fuel efficiency on cng is best but on patrol around 12-14 km/l if rpm is maintained below 3500.

Dear its true that alto's milage is horrible on patrol but its best on CNG. I recently visited from Karachi to Multan and you wont beleive it gave me 24.5 km/kg with AC on.
