    Default HyperMilling Honda City 2011

The best thing, and I guess all will agree about Honda City new models (2009 and onwards) is is fuel Efficiency. I heard about it until I bought one couple of months Ago

The car has done 3000kms and is giving me

    18-20 Km/Ltr On highways
    &
    12.5-14 km/Ltr with in City

For all who have doubts about the accuracy of the Fuel Display, I drove from Rawalpini to Peshawar on 10 ltrs of fuel !

According to my personal Experience the Best range on a straight road highway is

    Rpm - 3100-3200
    Speed 110-115

Just accelerate slowly and see the wonders on fuel Display

The Pics are from My recent trip from Rawalpindi to Peshawar !
For Experimenting, I emptied my tank and filled it with 1000 rupees worth of fuel (11 ltr approx)

It gave me 17.6 km/litre for 185 Kilometers driven after the trip (It Included all the city drive and motorway) !

Nice... i get around 12 - 13 km in the city but havent tried it on the highway... any recommendations on gear change behaviour apart from the RPM...! What speed do you switch gears...?

for each each gear, whenever the rpm reaches 3 (3000), change the gear, speed doesnt matter.

Ideal Gear shifts are mentioned in the User manual that comes with Honda City

I don't remember exactly remember the first shift

    but 2 to 3rd Gear is @ 40-45 km/h

    3rd to 4th is @ 62km/h

    and 4 to 5th is @ 85km/h

It's not just the new Model. Honda city models since 2004 have all been very fuel efficient.

    Unhappy

^^ Good thing about this 5th City is iVTEC; unlike iDSI City; its fuel efficient and naughty at the same time! I loved keeping it in 2009-2010, and its sad to see recent buyers are facing issues like https://www.pakwheels.com/forums/eng...n-problem-help and https://www.pakwheels.com/forums/per...knocking-issue
