    Default Civic or Corolla ECOTEC

Fellow Pakwheelers I'm in a bit of a dilemma and I need your help I really need to book a new 2012 car for my self next week, below are a few requirements that I need in the new Vehicle:

1/ Good Resale value (After 5 years, as Ill keep the car for at-least that time)
2/ CNG is a requirement unfortunately don't ask why and no suggestions not to install it etc as Its a requirement.
    3/ Prestige and safety.

Over all I'm looking for a vehicle as a daily runner with hopefully little maintenance, my budget is max 1800000/-

So Far I have narrowed the list down to:

Toyota Corolla 1.3 ECOTEC (Because of the factory fitted CNG system but the over all finish and quality is poor)
    Honda Civic 1.8 Manual Transmission
(over all the Quality and finish seems much better but, CNG will have to be installed at a later date)

Please Make suggestions as I have to Book the car next week as delivery will take about 60 to 90 days

1.3 Vs 1.8 has no comparison performance wise but according to your requirements Corolla would suit you.

Considering your requirements, particularly the 2nd one, corolla best suits you...
It's never recommended to go for after Market Cng on a brand new car and void your car warranty... So best is to go for corolla ecomatec..

For safety of the car you should get civic as it has immobilizer (encoded key) and toyota dont. You can also install CNG on it later. CNG runs just fine on it.(tried on 1.8 vti oriel)

I am not the expert but here is my opinion

1)CNG is banned in new cars since yesterday so you wont be able to get ecotec corrola
2)LR Cng kits prices will go sky rocket from few days on-wards its already 10 K more expensive since last two days as there is a ban on new kits and cylinder imports.

    3) Honda factory is closed till at least till feb so you wont be able to get new Honda for 4 more months if you book now .

So choice is your but I shall go for Civic anyday as Toyota is tooo boring for me. But thats only my opinion.

Corolla is better to run on CNG and gives you relatively good mileage. Honda is better-build but would cost you money if driven on petrol and even CNG. Rest, choice is yours.

o bhai what are you talking about? corolla is under 1300 CC so it is allowed to put a CNG on it and the company is rolling out ecotec. My friends ecotec due on 25th Jan.

@poster. i suggest you go for an ecotec. its preferred to go for a FF cng brand new car rather abousing one by putting an aftermarket CNG
