Exclamation Which 660cc Japanese car to buy !!!

    Hello PW's

I wanted to buy 660cc Japanese car, my budget is 7,50,000-8,00,000.

    1.Which one to buy?
2.Also consider Honda Zest (Spark) 2009.
What is its price and also is it worth buying?

Recently there is an influx of wide variety of cars in Pakistan. Car showrooms are full of these fancy cars. You cannot avoid having a second look at them. I also went to have a look and was quite amazed with these cars.
My concern is about the availabilty of parts. I used to have an "out of market car", I was happy until it started to give the problems. Looking for parts was a big hassle, I have to dispose it off because of this problem.
Be careful while making a choice.

WOW - sweet, so even maintenance items should be sourced from Junkyards?? - lets say if Im driving along the road and somehow I had an accident, Now I need a front fender, an entire hub, a strut and brake hosepipe and also the little ABS sensor - should I be buy all of this from there?I believe you lack the experience of buying some odd parts, e.g. umm - lets say you have a mercedes benz W201 (old model) and you need to mount the exterior door finish panels to the doors, where do you go and buy the clips and hardware from? Chah Sultan?Let me mellow it down a little, people say I quote MB too much, lets take a late model cressida, mark2, cresta, chaser, lexus GS - and lets say I want to buy the differential mountings for it.. should I look in chah sultan or new parts market?

In 660cc considering parts issue best is to go for Suzuki alto,Nissan Pino or Mazda Carol as all 3 share almost same parts.

    visited chah sultan once!!!
frankly speaking , i dont have much experience of buying that kinda material!!
our philosophy is too buy new car and used is it for few years and sell it!!
In above post i quoted a members experience , according to him," they went chah sultan for honda instrument cluster , they quoted 5k price while altis instrument was for 10k+"

Literally. I once had to get the "Ghutkas" on which the driver side glass rests on and fits to the machine for my Vitz. They were asking 1800 for a used pair. The people who think Sultan ka Khoo has got cheap parts available, are mistaken.

    @ Tanveer

you reminded me of something let me share it first in 2008 when i was buying my first car i went across vitz they were new in those days i was getting one for 760 its was almost brand new less mileage and don't remember the model but its was recent one 06 don't rember that, but the thing that made me change my mind was PARTS so i then brought new alto 08 for 630 and now vitz are all around us now i realize what i have missed now a days i will get the same car for like 10 or maybe more then that.

so the point is this time i am taking my time and advice from everyone.
I really liked this zest but again this time i want to make sure that i make a right choice!

You're talking about is the old Carburetor Mehran which you should sell it. You should go for the new 2012 model which has new engine that has the EFi.

In JDM Kei cars, I suggest you to go for Mitsubishi Minica, because it's available between 400-600k.

Speaking of these JDMs. Let me tell the truth about it.

In 1997, My father went on to buy a Toyota TownAce which was a JDM, but 4 years later that car started giving troubles and kept on getting heated constantly in highways. A/C also wasn't even effective as well and had to sell that troublesome car and went for Honda City. Since then it's trouble-free. That's why I don't suggest you to go for these used JDM cars. But still go for it, if you want.

You are right maybe its better this time but what about the cycle brakes and so on mehran is not my option and thanks for sharing your experiences but again you know my budget what would you suggest ??!!!

and about Mitsubishi Minica that is also very rare car again the parts issue.

    @inam45

Mitsubishi Minica is a nice car but the parts are very scarce in the market and one cannot find it easily in chah sultan. Secondly replacement of its main driving belts aren't easy since belts are not available in the Pakistan and if imported and being replaced, the rpm cannot be readjusted as per factory setting. Moreover, if check light comes, no one in Islamabad will be able to detect the its cause. if you intend to go to mitsuibishi motors, they are robbers.

I support @ Celica for his suggestion "to go for Suzuki alto,Nissan Pino or Mazda Carol as all 3 share almost same parts".
