I am not sure if Apsire 1.5 has immobilizer in it or not cause I don't own one neither have driven one. But I recently got a base Civic (non-Oriel) - and it comes with immobilizer - the good thing about the new Civic shape is that immobilizer and air bags are standard in all trims.
However, as per Honda website, City Aspire 1.5 also comes with navigation (you don't have to pay anything extra). So there's a plus point for it right away over Corolla GLi
As per PW comparison charts, the City Aspire also comes with an immobilizer - but like I said, I can't say for certain. But Civic does have an immobilizer as a standard feature on all of it's trims.
For the OP - Go for a City Aspire - I would not go for Corolla - but hash4u is right in saying that if you plan to keep it for a short time period and also drive on rough roads, then you should opt for a Corolla. It can take the beating. But if you are just not worried at all about the resale, then get a JDM (maybe an Axio - not sure if it falls in that price range though)- you 'll get best of both worlds, a good solid car + enjoyable ride. However, personally, I would go for a PKDM anyday of over a JDM - but that's just me
